I wouldnt even give it any stars! I have NO clue how the food is, because I spent $25.99, and never received my order. I searched this restaurant and used the website to place my delivery order. It went through doordash. But the order was delivered I guess (I saw the picture), but it was not my address, nor my front door. When I reached out about what happened, the person who answers the phone was not very helpful in providing any suggestions or anything. Just kept saying to take up with DD. I did. I called doordash, they saw the order and said it was paid to the merchant. I called the merchant back. Well, bottom lineNo food. Out 26 dollars. I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant. Im new to the area, and thought it sounded good. Oh well, lesson learned.

I get cooks can be rushed during these times, but that doesnt mean they can be careless with food handling. At first I thought this was normal arcadian salad, but I noticed how black and mushy it was after it had a texture like canned spinach. Its gone bad. The salmon was not the best Ive had from Waba Grill by a long shot, it was tough and dry. But this is to be expected once in while in the fast food industry. They also didnt remove the stem of the avocado and the orange tasted as if it had been a couple days since it was cut. For 12 dollars I expect the freshness they advertise, but I didnt get it here.
WaBa Grill

First time I came in they refused my 60$ order saying they dont accept 100$ bills while giving me attitude, didnt even offer alternatives or at least an apology... second time I came in there was a different server but again not welcoming to say the least...I ordered for about 5 people and everyones food was cold on arrival, they told me they DONT HAVE GREEN ONIONS at this location?!?!?! What?? they have onions showing on all their advertising pictures in store! On all their menu items literally Thats the first waba Ive ever heard of that didnt have onions... they have the meats sitting on the corner of the grill as they just toss them on for a few seconds and send you on your way so they can go back on their phones already like theyre in a rush or something...if Im paying good money at this place i expect kind service, not being rushed and good quality food with all the ingredients as advertised... unfortunately I didnt get that in my first 2 and only visits to this location.

Anaba sushi

The first time I tried Anaba I thought it was the best sushi place there is between Ventura, Oxnard, and Camarillo (or what I like to call the trio Tri-County. . . but every single time I visited after the first time it became one of MANY best sushi places around the area. . . and I have to give it that because service was not professional and not even amateur.I called 5 days ahead of time for a reservation for 4 (knowing the restaurant is pretty popular and might be packed on a Thursday night), they took it down but completely forgot to ask for my information. As they were saying bye I asked them if they needed my information; Oh of course. . .!Then comes the day my party and I arrived. We arrived there a few minutes before our reservation and they tell us it will take an additional 5-10 minutes for our table when I saw a party who just got there seated at a table which could seat four. . . -____________________- EFUIWGUIHGUIOEHJTIOGEAIOJ;!!!! I thought a reservation meant there will be a table reserved for us when we got there. We were seated in the time they promises us (in 10 minutes) and then everything slowly went downhill from there. Ill give you the abridged version of everything after that. . . they gave us another tables rolls, we had to call them several times to refill our drinks, never checked on us, and compared to the very first time I came, the sushi was good, not awesome as I can recall. Maybe it didnt taste so great because I still had a sour taste in my mouth from them mishandling my reservation. =/ I guess if your food is that good then you can give bad service.Overall, DO NOT DO RESERVATIONS and if you dont mind calling a server over and over to your table for one thing or another go to this place. Oh Anaba how I loathe you but somehow I come back because your sushi is good and the price is more than reasonable.
Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar
598 Town Center Dr, Oxnard, CA 93036, United States
Lazy dog is a pretty consistent spot for food, service, and quality. I’ve been coming here ever since it opened up with my family & friends and the only change has been some employees and menu options both of which were good & bad. Lazy dog has one of the best happy hour menu’s I’ve seen when it comes to food with pretty good options and very decent prices. They have very solid burgers and fries options but also have other tasty options like fish and chips, pastas, some Asian fusion dishes and many classic American style spin offs of meat loaf, pot roasts, fried chicken, steaks. Lots of dessert options, drinks and appetizers as well. This spot is one of the latest open restaurants in the area which is nice. I’d definitely recommend anyone to stop in and try this place out if you haven’t already. They have great seating inside and outside. Pretty decent staff overall that’s kind & helpful. Nice spot for the whole family including your dog. They have dog friendly areas and a dog part of the menu. Come by the collection and stop by Lazy dog and see for yourself.
Ozeki Noodle
349 W Esplanade Dr, Oxnard, CA 93036, United States
I asked for 5 soy sauce and 5 hot sauce for my pick up order and I was only given 3 of each. I asked for 2 more of each and I was denied. I even suggested paying extra for it, and the woman denied me once again. I am regular customer and never have I been denied for hot sauce and soy sauce. She said that it was too much for what I ordered. This woman clearly does not know the way I like to eat my food. I honestly wanted a refund because that is the only amount of condiments I enjoy eating the food I pay for. This was offensive to me, but I was kind enough not to make a scene. This new employee gave me bad service.
Seafood City Supermarket
2340 N Rose Ave, Oxnard, CA 93036, United States
The food is great but man the customer service at the grill is less than that of a 16 year old getting their first job during high school. Seriously you'll be served faster at Costco on a holiday weekend while Costco is short staffed. Been there 2 times both times had to wait 30-45 minutes to wait in line to pay at the register. First time was when it was new so that was understandable but second time I was literally the second in line and I started to get help, got passed to another worker and then just dropped. I'm standing there waiting to keep ordering and I just keep getting ignored. The guy next to me as well. We're both non Filipinos. Idk if that made any difference but we both did notice that the Filipinos were getting full service while us (Mexican) and (Caucasian) just ignored. The guy ended up leaving the line and walked out and just left his half order on the belt line. Staff were so confused and I'm like, really? It's called common sense. Dude got fed up waiting and being ignored. Last time I visit the grill. I gave them 2 shots and while the foods great the lack of service is what does it for me. Just create a mobile app so people can place their orders and not have to deal with the bad service.
Blossom Tea House
814 N Ventura Rd, Oxnard, CA 93030, United States
Overall, very average for the one time I went in. The service was decent, but you can tell that there isnt that much business (might be due to location, might be due to Covid)The food... is about average. The rice? For the meal I had, it was AMAZING - very flavorful and cooked in broth (or similar). Everything else was average at best. The meat was over-salted and a bit sour, and you could barely get any flavor from it outside of those two. That said, it was probably meant to be mixed into the rice to be eaten -- which I did, and it turned out to taste pretty good that way. Everything else in the meal was average, with a very plain over-easy egg and a small saladThe Boba was a disappointment though. Overcooked and left standing in liquid for far too long that the boba was practically falling apart due to how soft it became. The drink I ordered was not impressive at all. The presentation was there (I think it was the butterfly or something with the lavender to yellow gradient...?), but the flavor was nothing special as it was practically a very plain and unsweetened lemonadeUnless you are looking for specific culturally styled cooked meal from here, you have other options that are going to be more appealing. General Asian Food? Look elsewhere. Something resembling some very specific South-East Asian cooking for the feeling of home? This may be a pretty decent choice
Thai & Chinese Food
2337 N Oxnard Blvd, Oxnard, CA 93036, United States
Whoever said this was the BEST Thai food they have ever had obviously hasnt tried any other Thai place. I dont know if it is because Oxnard doesnt have other Thai places or if the people here have really low standards, but 4 stars is ridiculous. A more accurate review would be in the 2 to 3 star range. We got Panang Curry and Pad Thai. Both were just OK and overpriced at a total of $18. They also do not take credit cards despite what another reviewer said. Cash only. The only good thing was that the food came out super quick. This also makes you think that the food is prepared ahead of time and not fresh and they likely use a lot of oil to cook and heat it up fast.I usually trust reviews on Yelp, but now I know to take it with a grain of salt for small and remote places like Ventura county. If youre looking for something to eat, go with In N Out down the street. Dont waste your time and money with this place. It sucks.
Golden Chicken Inn
701 S Oxnard Blvd, Oxnard, CA 93030, United States
**update** theyve changed menu again and dont even sell what i was complaining about anymore which was their new menu. Its now a Hawaiian bbq place. For the love of god just change the name of the business. Its not the Golden chicken inn we all knew and loved.**I wish the company would change the name. The new owners have completely changed the luoriginal recipes. The one weve all known and love for decades. They no longer have combo meals. Everything you order has to be by el a carte. And it gets insanely expensive. 75 dollars for ordering 4 items to share with a family of 3.God Im gonna miss golden chicken inns yummy eggrolls they use to make. The egg flower soup was okay but too much pepper, made it taste spicy. The crunchy noodles for our soup was stale.Given water with no ice.Their sweet and sour pork are no longer those little soft breaded balls. But I do admit it was still pretty good. Just differentTheir Pork fried rice was pretty great. Just differentTheir green beans was pretty good! And their beef chow fun was great as well.Over all, the food was pretty good, but too expensive to be spending 11 to 16 dollars a plate to share. Also the service was absolutely horrendous. Our waiter, some young woman with black hair had zero personality. She aggressively tossed our menus on our table and walked away. Took a while for her to come back and when she walks in she just stares at you and doesnt say anything. Even everytime we said thank you, she never responds. When we paid she didnt thank us for coming in. Didnt say goodbye or have a good day. Just rude and didnt make us feel welcomed at all. She looked like she was dead inside and hated her job. For that reason alone we probably wont come back, food was good tho not gonna lie. Good service is everything and if you dont got it, it makes you not wanna go back. Maybe well order take out lol. One day.
