One of our go-to Asian restaurants. Authentic sushi and other Japanese cuisine for affordable prices. My wife and I come here often.
Panda Imperial Restaurant
1208 3rd Ave, Chula Vista, CA 91911, United States
Immediately when we walked in we were promptly seated and asked what drinks we would like and also gave us wantons with sweet and sour sauce as an appetizer. They gave us a moment to look at the menu afterwards, so we can decide on what to eat. After a several minutes and when she noticed we were ready she came back and took our order. The customer service here is quick and the people are polite although we did have to ask for a refill on our drinks. The food here is of good quality and a nice portion to boot. It is not the best Chinese food but it is pretty yummy. if you are looking for something fancier dont expect to pay the price youd pay here or get the same portion size either. The food was about $30 and we had enough left overs for another meal.Thank You so much for your hospitality and for the quick service. We really enjoyed our time here.
Teriyaki Grill
380 3rd Ave B, Chula Vista, CA 91910, United States
Not your typical Chinese/Asian restaurant. The food here is prepared and presented well by a competent chef. Not salty, greasy and oily like standard asian takeaway places. I think they use sushi rice in the dishes. Tried teriyaki beef bento, everything was top notch. Salad was topped with fresh homemade sauce (texture was similar to chutney). Low-key restaurant that does not compromise on food quality and taste.
P.F. Changs
2015 Birch Rd Ste 1401, Chula Vista, CA 91915, United States
This is not your typical 5-star review. Its not about flawless execution or unparalleled excellence. No, this review is about one persons exceptional problem-solving skills: Manager Jesus. Thanks to his swift actions and ability to handle a challenging situation, PF Changs Eastlake earns all five stars. So, a big thank you to Jesus, the hero of PF Changs Eastlake! Now, if youre interested in the gripping story of what happened, get ready for a rollercoaster of inefficiency, staff mistakes, and one managers exceptional ability to turn things around. If youd rather skip the drama and go straight to the verdict, rest assured that the food at PF Changs Eastlake is excellent, especially their gluten-free options, and you can trust that the manager is more than capable of tackling high-pressure situations like a boss.We placed a larger take-out order of $100+ on July 7th around 6 pm. We parked outside at stall #4 and called the number on the sign. However, the system had long prompts, making it less than ideal. When someone finally answered, they lacked professionalism and struggled to understand the name on the order. They assured us the order would be brought out when ready and asked for the stall number. After thirty minutes, we called again, hoping for good news. This time, a different person answered and we asked about our order. Surprisingly, they didnt ask for the stall number, assuming they had it from our previous call. We then saw a staff member hand a bag to someone outside the restaurant without any questions. It seemed like a mistake had been made. Concerned, we went inside and approached the hostess stand. When we asked about our order, we were told it wasnt ready, which seemed odd. We requested an estimate of the wait time and noticed staff gathering behind the stand, indicating a problem. When the hostess returned, our suspicions were confirmed—they had given our order to the wrong person.Frustration peaked after waiting over an hour amidst inefficiencies and unprofessionalism. We decided to ask for a manager. Jesus, the hero, came out and listened to our concerns. He apologized sincerely and assured us the order would be remade, though there would be a wait. Remarkably, Jesus offered to comp the entire order. We were truly grateful. We waited at the bar and discovered Voodoo Ranger, one of the best beers on tap, adding a glimmer of positivity to the situation. Around 7:40 pm, Jesus personally handed us our order. His attention to detail made all the difference.Heres to you, Jesus! Your exceptional skills in managing high-pressure situations deserve applause. Thank you for swiftly resolving a predicament caused by a staff mistake. It is for this reason that PF Changs Eastlake earns a well-deserved 5-star review. I have no doubt that the restaurant will learn from these incidents and improve its processes. To future patrons of PF Changs Eastlake, expect excellent food, especially the gluten-free options. And if, by some unfortunate twist of fate, you find yourself caught in unforeseen events, take solace in knowing that Jesus, the remarkable manager, will be there to save the day.Happy dining!
WaBa Grill

I recently visited WaBa Grill in Chula Vista and had the pleasure of interacting with Colten at the register. I have to say, Colten was an absolute delight to talk to! From the moment I stepped up to the register, they greeted me with a warm smile and friendly demeanor. They were incredibly patient with my questions and took the time to explain the menu items to me in detail. Not only was Colten kind and attentive, but they also displayed an impressive level of efficiency and organization. Despite a long line forming behind me, Colten was able to keep things moving quickly and smoothly, ensuring that every customer was taken care of in a timely manner.Overall, I was very impressed with their performance and believe that they are an asset to the restaurant. Their positive attitude and dedication to excellent customer service truly made my experience at WaBa Grill a memorable one. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food and exceptional service.
Pho Vinh Vietnamese Noodle House
349 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910, United States
This isnt a Pho restaurant design for Asian customers that know what good authentic Vietnamese should taste like.Spring rolls had little to no aromatic herbs mint/basil/, just all iceberg lettuce.Soup has an overwhelmingly strong MSG flavor, but I didnt taste a strong Bone broth in soup. Its an ok restaurant if you are craving pho, but not the same authenticity like east San Diego or Mira Mesa restaurants that cater to Asian customers.Servers are good and fast, and he memorizes all your orders never writing anything down. Amazing.
iWok Chinese Kitchen

I dont like to write bad reviews but in this case customer service was awful. 1 start for only taking my order. I place a soup order to go. I took it to work for my lunch. I open the container, as I was eating i found a bug after another one. I was placing them in a napkins to show them I found those bugs in there. I continue eating more thinking I wont find more, unfortunate I did. I was gross out and lost my appetite. So i toss the container and took the napking with me after work. I show them my concern and wanted a refund so I can eat somewhere else. The lady told me its summer season, our containers are clean, we wash are veggies, let me talk to my manager. Among so many explanation and excuses she ask me for the container. I told her I place them in a napkin and throw the container with food. She told me all restaurants do that, they ask for the food. I told her no, this was an order to go I was busy at work to go after I saw the bugs. Anyhow I ask for a refund and she refuse to do so. I was so upset she didnt took care of this matter correctly. So thats why Im writing this. Never eating there again. So if u find bugs is because is summer season, enjoy!
JCK Asia Kitchen and Bar

You cannot believe how excited I was to see a Chinese restaurant opening up. And when I visited the first time, I found that it was actually an AUTHENTIC Chinese restaurant. And when I say authentic, I truly mean people and cooks speaking in Chinese - both Mandarin and Cantonese! But that wasn't all… the food is absolutely yummy and to get soup dumplings, yummy pan fried dumplings and noddles within walkable distance… I am so tempted to go every week!My kids love the string beans… and that's a complete win! My two older love the dumplings and my husband even said the beef ribs soup was pretty good!I'm definitely a fan and will be heading there more! The menu is small, but everything is made with a lot of thought and done so well!So support local business and head over and try them out!
Panda Express

This location is always busy, specially the drive thru. Drive thru attendant was impatient, order was very sloppy and the food was not consistently as good as it should be.This location has been failing to keep up with or locations lately. I wish they would improve so I can keep stopping by since its on of the closest locations to me.Update:I gave this place another try, I was here and this time I decided to walking and avoid the drive thou. walked in, (no customers) started looking at the food to see what options I would good with, I was not exactly greeted and asked what I wanted to order. I requested a minute make up my mind. The server was not to pleased to have to wait 10 seconds, she was not in a good mood overall and seemed bothered to serve. I didnt mind and continued to order my food. As I proceeded to pay for my food, I was looking to see how many soy and hot sauces I was gonna get and as she was packing my order I saw her drop 1 of the 2 packets she was going to give me ( she did not see she dropped it) once she handed over the bag I looked to confirm I only had 1 and asked for another, she immediately replied she is only able to give me 2 more, (a bit aggressive, even the customer behind me noticed and looked at me like WTH) to what i replied you only gave me one, and dropped the other can I please get more. She was hella RUDE at this point and I called her out she acted like she didnt hear me.At this point I can confirm most of the personnel here are very disrespectful. I am staying away from here. This behavior needs to be corrected.

I am very mad at the service we received today. First of all its super hot and loud in there so it makes it difficult to order. My daughter had a cub free meal coupon from her school. So when it came to pay the lady Just said to put the coupon there and we saw a little dispenser to put coins with a slit so we assumed we should put it inside the container. Mind you it is loud in there and thats what we understood. What she meant was for us to scan it on the scanner. So once I told her it was inside the container she made a mad face and rolled her eyes. Obviously she was annoyed that we understood incorrectly but it was a simple solution. She grabbed the key for the container, opened it and took out the coupon, simple. But yet she made her face and rolled her eyes. I called the restaurant to speak to a supervisor and no one picked up the phone. I honestly will not go back to this location. I work in customer service and her behavior is unacceptable.
