Monark Asian Bistro
5225 Canyon Crest Dr #64, Riverside, CA 92507, United States
My husband and I went there for lunch. We took advantage of their specials and everything we ordered was delicious. It is an elegant restaurant with big windows that face the fountains on the square. Its a bit more pricy than Asian restaurants in the area, but the food is good. The service is a bit slow.

Frice Szechuan Restaurant (Riverside)
1299 University Avenue #104-E, Riverside, CA 92507, United States
I did not intend to offense anyone but every time I went to a Chinese restaurants, it will reminds me the relatively horrible experience in here. This place is overpriced and extremely bad in service. The rude servant or cashier never said please or thanks and made inappropriate jokes in Chinese that offended me and my major; but guess what I can speak Mandarin even though I am not Asian. I am really upset about it even though last time I went to here was few weeks ago, every time I think about Frice or any words that has similar pronunciation, I will automatically consider it as bad. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

My recent visit to Pick Up Stix in Riverside, California, left a lasting impression. From the moment I stepped through the doors, the ambiance, service, and, most importantly, the food, exceeded my expectations. The seating arrangements were comfortable, and the overall cleanliness of the space added to the dining experience. The service at Pick Up Stix was exceptional. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful recommendations, enhancing our dining experience. Now, onto the star of the show: the food. Pick Up Stix did not disappoint in this department. The menu boasted a diverse selection of Asian-inspired dishes, ranging from traditional favorites to innovative creations. Each dish was prepared with fresh ingredients and expertly seasoned, resulting in a burst of flavors with every bite. Highlights from our meal included the mouthwatering Orange Chicken, which perfectly balanced tangy citrus notes with a hint of spice, and the savory Mongolian Beef, featuring tender strips of beef stir-fried to perfection in a rich sauce. The accompanying sides of steamed rice and crispy egg rolls complemented the main dishes beautifully. From the inviting ambiance to the impeccable service and, of course, the delectable food, every aspect of the dining experience exceeded my expectations. Panda Express
9867 Magnolia Ave STE A, Riverside, CA 92503, United States
Arrived at this Panda location next to Lowe's at around 9pm ended up leaving walking out the door by 9:40pm almost an hour and only six people in front of me.Also for some reason (owners order most likely) if you ask for a ONE item plate they always give you double serving and they charge you for an extra item (Always) and then they act like they can't understand you (specifically the Asian guy that's the manager or owner), Today the same thing happened without fail. He also put his FINGERS in the sauces he was serving me after I paid and handles my food with no gloves after charging me!!! ( This Manager thinks others peoples health is a joke even during a Pandemic!!!)When I was paying the Asian guy must of not liked how I looked (I'm always respectful to everyone no matter their background) cause he was charging me for things I didn't order and he kept acting like he couldn't understand English and wouldn't allow the other workers help correct the order even after the lady and I repeatedly went over the order about twenty times I gave up after almost ten minutes of him pretending to not understand, and got away with overcharging me again ( the Asian guy was very rude and stand-offish).It wasn't until he heard me speaking Spanish thanking the Hispanic lady for trying to help, that's when he tried to change his attitude towards me(so good luck dealing with this Asian guy even if you look slightly white he'll treat you with animosity and that's how this Panda manager or owner treats his loyal customers of 20+years).Also he always treats the Hispanic Women that work there for him with disrespect from what I've seen (he's very rude to them talks and treats them like slaves which is NOT okay in this country). I don't think the Asian Manager realizes that nothing good will come from the kind of attitude and disrespect hegives customers and workers.Don't eat here unless want to overpay for undercooked food!

Sams Bann Thai
3203 Mission Inn Avenue, Riverside, CA 92507, United States
We found ourselves staying at a Holiday Inn Express, in Colton CA. Lets just say our stay was due to a merciless heat wave, that forced us out of our home due to a faulty AC, into the added expense of a hotel which helped to keep cold as penguins, while outdoors the oppressing heat took over the land. Hotel stay spells dining out every night. Tonight it was Sams Bann Thai, which delivered to the hotel. After reading several reviews, most praises, some less so, we ordered:Wonton soup, $7.95. Broth was vigorously flavored with excessive cabbage, carrots in less amount, and 2 mid size shrimp tail on. Amount was a supposedly 16 ounces. Arrived hot, but felt a little short on protein. 3.5 Stars.Shrimp Egg Rolls, $8.95. The thinnest egg roll I ever seen, darker than recommended, dry and accompanied by their version of sweet and sour sauce. This one with the consistency of water. No cornstarch? 2.5 Stars.Chicken Fried Rice, $11.95. Plenty of rice, a couple chunk of tomatoes, thick sliced onions, zero veggies, a blunder that was left practically intact. Money to the trash. 1.5 Stars.Yellow Curry Chicken, $12.45. Disgustingly sweet, watery curry sauce, the whole thing a regret. What is up with the Asian mentality that just about anything, and everything, has to be smeared with sweet ingredients. Bet half a dollar, they do not eat what they sell to the general public. Next time I will get a milkshake for a third of the price. 1.5 StarChicken Satay, 8.95. Overpriced, dried, flavorless, accompanied by extremely sweet cucumber salsa, in a tiny container. Peanut sauce thick as putty, so sweet it got disposed swiftly. 1.5 Stars.Egg Rolls, $7.95. Decent for a change of pace. Sweet and sour sauce watery, no praise for the execution. 3 Stars.Fried Bananas with chocolate dip, $6.95. Egg Rolls with banana purée. Chocolate dip barely gets a passing grade. 3 Stars. The mediocre feast commanded a whooping $77 plus tag price. The person who took the order was very nice, paper plates and plastic utensils, and napkins too. Sad to say that if this place is a 5 Star, or even a 4 Star, then really good Thai food can not be measured by the same ruler. 2.5 Stars.

Ooka Sushi & hibachi steak House
3525 Riverside Plaza Dr #200, Riverside, CA 92506, United States
Based on a referral we chose this place to celebrate my daughters 37th Birthday all 12 of us! Upon arrival the atmosphere seemed very nice and accommodating. Our wait to be seated wasnt long at all. We did have to wait a little while before our Hibachi Chef came to our table ( no big deal) However, when he first arrived he hit the grill so LOUD it scared us, we laughed it off and he began to cook. A little trick here a little trick there everything was off to a great evening until he started to complain about how he has worked for 7 days straight .... ummm ok. Then he would do his little tricks, we would chuckle a little but then he would say that he worked all 7 days straight with no break AGAIN... We all tried to keep a happy face for my daughter and we just wanted to just enjoy ourselves. I began to notice that even though his hands were moving fast, the seafood seemed to be on the griddle way too long I thought to myself all that seafood is going to be tough and over cooked and I was right! Being caught up in the moment and not wanting to spoil the vibe I ate some of it anyway and just let the Chef make his rounds and add more to my plate. Then everything took a nose dive when the Chef asked my 21 year old special needs son do you have a girlfriend? my son Yes ...Chef How many? My son One ....Chef Is she Asian girl? (side note I need to mention that we ALL 12 are African American. 5 women, 1 fifteen year old girl, 4 Men and 2 young boys ages 9 and 5).....My son No .......Chef You need Asian girl she will cook for you BLACK WOMEN ARE LAZY, THEY DONT COOK EVERYDAY!!!!......WHAT THE????? Feeling offended We start telling him that we do cook, even my grandson tells his mom the Birthday girl Mommy you do cook. He then (Chef) mumbles that he is joking.(very passive aggressive) ...but at this point its too late the mood has changed and the good vibe is dying. At the end of the dinner in a last attempt to keep spirits up for my daughter we sing Happy birthday, the waiter brings her a little ice cream in a bowl with sprinkles and a candle. The Chef awkwardly lingers in front of us at the grill. A few people offer a $5 tip (which he did not deserve). We get up from the table and notice that we are the last customers in the entire restaurant and the workers have mopped the floors and left them WET right up to where we were seated by the back door, so as we were leaving we had to watch our step not to slip and fall (that was ridiculous) we had 2 disabled people in our party one using a walker. On our careful way out my grandson slips on the wet floor and one of the waitresses catches him. Its not until the next day that every one that was there begins to speak about our collective experience and we realize that we are ALL disappointed, dissatisfied and feel angry and offended. I will be contacting management about our experience.

4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This Thai food is very tasty! I had gone once many years ago and I remember liking it, but my go to was always Bann Thai off Brockton. Bann Thai closed over a year ago and I stopped getting Thai, until I remembered this restaurant after craving it. I'm so glad we decided to grab that for dinner, because I am impressed! We got red curry, yellow curry and pad see ew. All very flavorful and good variety of veggies. This will now be our go to local Thai restaurant :)I took off .5 ⭐️ because the chicken isn't my favorite, it's pretty bland, but I guess it's quite normal at Thai restaurants. Will be choosing veggie options.

WaBa Grill
5286 Arlington Ave, Riverside, CA 92504, United States
I religiously come here two times a week and the gentleman always have good customer service. Today I went to simply pick up my food and the lady on the register was just texting away… she knew I was there but she finished texting first and then asked me if I was ready… I told her I was there to pick up, and then she goes back to looking down at her phone and continues to text and then she logged in to the computer to ask for my name. All while she was texting. Not once did she look up after that, I sat down to wait while she continued to be on her phone. I feel like I was a burden to her walking into her busy time texting as if I interrupted her lol
