Fantastic Asian fusion restaurant. I specifically recommend doing their lunch combos. They come in to go containers which is nice because I always have some leftovers. I highly recommend the blistered green beans and drunken noodles. Everything I’ve tried on their menu is great and if I lived a little closer I’d probably be here more often.

Save your time and money. Here's what we experienced. #1) Nobody welcomed us after 5-minutes at entry #2) Screaming kids running up and down the outside seating area #3) Waiter was clueless and unaware of the situation and menu #5) Brought the wrong food three times #6) Took a plate of food (we hadn't touched yet, besides mixing it with a fork and nearly taking a bite) when the waiter literally switched plates with adjacent table. #5) No drink refills or offers to purchase 2nd round. #6) Every table (3 tables) around us (with 3-5 people at each table) received food before us despite having been seated 15-minutes after the two of us. #7) POOR QUALITY: IF KRAFT MAC&CHEESE OFFERED PAD THAI THIS WOULD BE IT! Like I said save your time and money. Go to another Thai restaurant or eat Kraft Mac & Cheese (it'll be better I promise). I don't often write reviews, but I had to on this. You've been warned.
Roast & Rice Asian Fusion
30990 Russell Ranch Rd, Westlake Village, CA 91362, United States
The owners of this restaurant used to have a place called Prawn and Basil on Thousand Oaks Blvd, which was outstanding but sadly didnt make it through the pandemic. Their new venture is even better. With a much expanded menu, it is probably the best Asian Fusion restaurant I can think of. Many of the dishes are hands down better than what you would get if you went to a restaurant dedicated to that cuisine, and other dishes are right up there with the best in town. Were so happy to have them back!

We were able to experience this new location during their soft opening for my birthday with some family. There were six adults total and we arrived just a little after opening since they were not currently taking reservations. We were seated right away with no issues, they pushed a two top and a four top together and were super nice. The location is rather small on the inside but they do fit in a decent amount of seating. We were sat right by the door so it was a little cold (rainy out) but not a big deal.In terms of service everyone was nice and able to explain dishes to various people in our group as well as accomodation our vegetarian with a veggie sushi plate (carrot on rice sushi, avocado on rise and one other as well as a little bit of mushrooms and a veggie roll). This was not on the menu but our server offered it right away which was very nice. Our bus boy was who we had the most contact with and who checked in on us the most. Super friendly and fun dude and a great addition to their team, I wish I would have gotten his name. But found him to be the most helpful of the folks there.Food was good overall with our least favorite things being the classic pieces of sushi. Sadly the few pieces we got were chewy which was a surprise since the pieces of fish as a part of our other dishes were good (maybe bad luck). The Emma sushi was interesting and pretty tasty. Our rolls (sunset and three others) were interesting and very good as was the sashimi dish we got (a tuna with truffle and mushrooms). One couple in our group got the sea bass and thought it was very good as well.Dessert options are currently limited to a few ice cream flavors (since we were there for a birthday celebration we were hoping they had something good or interesting or would say happy birthday or something.. but not so much). Not a big deal, dont typically expect a ton of dessert at sushi spots but thought their other locations offered more choices (but could be wrong), just a note. We headed to another spot for treats after.Overall we would definitely go back, service was very good and there were a lot of unique rolls and dishes to try. If we were looking for just straight classic sushi there is another local spot we would probably go to but this was great for the variety and delicious combinations of flavors!Bill was under $300 for six adults (one couple shared a main though and only two people got alcohol, one drink each) and some teas and one soda.Photos of most everything except the sea bass and edamame we got.

Not sure what it is about this location specifically, but the service is always so slow! I just stepped out of line and left due to waiting 5 minutes while 2 single orders were prepped.I would not typically are enough to leave a comment, but for the 4 people in line there were 6 employees throughout the store. 2 were in the kitchen, 1 was doing double duty serving food and working the register, 1 was eating dinner, and 2 were wiping down the soda machine and chatting about their personal lives, clearly prepping to go home. My issue with that was that they were still open for 90 minutes! Will opt to go to the Agoura location from now on. A bit out of the way, but they seem to care about the customers in line.
Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors
2761 Agoura Rd, Westlake Village, CA 91361, United States
This has got to be the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten.I ordered the Family Pack for my...wait for it... family (haha) since we were craving Chinese food. The meal deal was 3 entrees, rice, chow mien, dumplings, and fortune cookies to the tune of $65 including tip for the driver. The meal was advertised to feed 4-5 people, well it was not even close to that. If youve been to those hole-in-the-wall restaurants, then you know what I mean when I say I was disappointed with the amount I got. The meal came inside one of those party platter trays and to be honest if I went to Combo A in Echo Park I could have gotten way more and higher quality food for less money. The chow mien tastes like those cheap Instant Yakisoba Noodles you get at the store for $1. Which is not what I want from a restaurant, especially after I paid what I paid for this meal. The teriyaki chicken was dry and over cooked and off course lacking in the teriyaki sauce. The rest of the food was just as subpar but those two were the biggest offenders.I felt compelled to apologize to my Wife and Child for how bad it was. I even told my Wife Id understand if she chose to break it off with me for a day due to this food. Its bad and Pick-Up Stix as an organization should rethink their menu or something because this is an embarrassment to food and the fast-casual restaurant industry as a whole.

First: Be warned - They do not serve any alcohol. No Sake, no Beer, nothing. The main lady said, You can bring your own, but we charge cork fee. A cork fee? You dont even serve alcohol of your own. Maybe to cover the cost of washing the glasses if we used some? I was able to use the restroom without incurring a water fee to flush the toilet though.Food: Not great. Half the dishes were ok and the other half were bad. Compared to say, Ocean Fresh downtown, bland.Decor: Feng Shui was kicked out on its butt from this place. What was up with the table arrangement? They built upholstered benches on both walls. Normally tables would be set parallel to the benches where people can sit in a chair on the outside and the others sit against the wall on the bench. Not here, no they put the tables perpendicular to the benches and push them right up to the bench so you cant sit on the bench at all. It was the dumbest thing Ive seen.Service: This was the only reason I gave a third star. The food came out quick and warm. The young lady doing most of the front of house work was the best part of the visit. One of the bigger restaurants that are having staffing issues should go swoop this girl up asap and pay her well.
ONYX

This restaurant came with high expectations but we were extremely disappointed. This was levels below the other restaurant on the same Four Seasons property. The first thing we noticed was a fishy smell you'd get a low end sushi shop. Service was all over the place, with our plates piling up on the table (we had to move them ourselves to the empty table next to us) and our warm napkins never being removed at all. The waitstaff were friendly but not well trained on the details like sake options, despite the limited menu. The appetizers were decent at best. The chefs nigiri were served cold. The cherry blossom ice cream desert that appears in all of the ads around the hotel was tasteless. We went the next night to the other restaurant on the property and could feel the difference. Onyx feels like it's trying to be something that it's not.

My husband and I have been to Moody Rooster four times. Twice at their previous location and twice at their current. I had to write a review because our experience this time around was extremely odd. Let me preface by saying all the other times have been great and we absolutely enjoy the food. The first thing that happened to us:We were asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. We opted for “still” thinking it was considered tap. They bring over a Mountain Spring Valley bottle and my husband and I thought that this was our only option other than sparkling. We finished the bottle and the waitress asked if we wanted another bottle and we said yes.Time has passed and we noticed other tables getting tap water. I told my husband and we laughed it off thinking we totally got swindled! There was no option for tap. Two bottles of water cost us $14 on the bill.Mind you, after the second bottle finished, she asked us if we wanted another bottle. Knowing we had no water in our cups and no water in our bottle we kindly said no, thinking they would bring us over tap water. No one came by and offered even as they passed our table to fill other people's cups. The other thing was everyone else around us was getting their food quicker than us. A table behind us came later and their orders were coming out quite swiftly when we only had our salad and were waiting for the mushrooms and fennel sausage. When we received our fennel sausage, my husband said some parts were cooler- meaning it was probably just sitting there for a bit. While this normally wouldn't irk me, we just felt like outcasts or treated a bit differently, or just the forgotten! Maybe those side tables on the side aren't as important as reservations..or maybe it just an off night. I'm not quite sure but I had to share. We will return because we love it, but hopefully we won't leave actually leave “moody” next time.
Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, California

The hotel has a curious location but an impressive feel once within the grounds. The Asian gardens, spa, game room, restaurant and bar are all quite nice. I love the staff and overall vibe as well. I love the new remodel and the rooms turned out very nice as well, hell even the carpets are impressive in this place!
