China Islamic Restaurant
7727 Garvey Ave, Rosemead, CA 91770, United States
Ordered three flavor chow mein which included shrimp and pan fried lamb dumplings 6/29/2022 @7:50pm. The lamb dumplings were under cooked and the shrimp was SPOILED! I would usually let this roll off my back because this is a Halal restaurant, but the chef not only endangered my wife and I. This chef endangered my SON! I will no longer patronize this establishment. I was going to call and complain, but I figured instead of being upset and giving off any negative energy to the other person on the phone; I will just leave a review in case the manager wonders why I dont come there anymore. I was a regular that ordered crispy duck and the pan fried lamb dumplings that always left a tip even if it was takeout. It is a shame because I have been coming here since 2009 if I remember correctly and 13 years of patronage has ended because of a careless chef. The quickest way to lose business is to endanger a mans family. Writing this review probably hurts me more than it hurts them and it really is a shame.

First meal of the day @1:05pm Cabbage Chicken?Meat Salad + Hainanese Chicken?Rice? This is the second time I have been to this restaurant. The chicken?meat salad is actually hot?hot?. The taste of cum training is very good. ?????Hainanese chicken?rice? are super delicious. This is my first time ordering Hainanese chicken?rice?. Their Hainanese chicken?rice is actually hot?spicy. Its still hot and smoke comes out. The food in other restaurants is generally just warm. It's really a very amazing feeling. Simply awesome. ??????????I ordered chicken ? pork today. Super tender. It's also worthy of praise. ???Its a pity that this restaurant is only open from 9am to 6pm every day. Its too early to finish work. ?
MR DRAGON NOODLE HOUSE
8526 Valley Blvd #108, Rosemead, CA 91770, United States
Absolutely good food. Would be perfect with easier parking. But upon entering Mr. Dragon Noodle House, the first thing you notice is the inviting aroma of simmering broths and freshly prepared noodles. The ambiance exudes warmth with its traditional Asian decor, accentuated by dim hanging lanterns that offer a cozy feel. The menu is extensive, catering to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. One standout dish that caught my attention even before diving into the noodle dishes was their Popcorn Chicken. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these bite-sized delights were seasoned to perfection, offering a delightful crunch with each bite, making them a perfect appetizer or side.Diving deeper into the menu, their signature Dragon Noodles stand out. Delicately hand-pulled, the noodles have a chewy texture that perfectly complements the richly flavored broth. The Spicy Beef Noodle Soup, with its tender beef slices and a fiery broth, provides the right amount of kick for those craving some heat. For vegetarians, the Tofu and Mushroom Noodle Soup is a revelation. The tofu is silky, absorbing the umami-rich flavors of the broth, while the assortment of mushrooms adds a delightful earthy touch. Beyond noodles, their dim sum offerings, especially the shrimp dumplings, are a must-try. They're juicy, succulent, and encased in a paper-thin wrapper.Service is another strong point for Mr. Dragon. The staff is attentive without being intrusive. They are knowledgeable about the menu and are happy to make recommendations tailored to your preferences.Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size. Additionally, their tea selection is commendable, with the Jasmine tea being a personal favorite. However, the place can get quite packed during peak hours, so it's advisable to either book in advance or visit during off-peak times. In conclusion, Mr. Dragon Noodle House offers an authentic noodle experience, enhanced by their delightful array of starters, including the memorable Popcorn Chicken. Whether you're a noodle aficionado or someone new to Asian cuisine, this place is sure to leave you satisfied and longing for a second visit.
noodle palace

The food here are surprisingly good. We ordered lamb soup noodle and that stir fried cat noodle. I didnt expect much, but it surprised me how good it tastes. The stir fried noodle has this fresh aroma - Chinese saying wok gas. Lol... My lack of vocabulary cant explain that. The lamb noodle soup tasted similar like the 101 chain noodle restaurant, but better with eatable lamb. I dont like lamb, but I can eat this one. Last, but not the least. I see love in this restaurant. A hunble homeless quietly walked in the restaurant and waved to the lady ( I think is the owner). The lady waved back. Then the homeless walked out and waited patiently at the door. The restaurant owner gave him food - warm soup noodle and bread. The scene was so touching. After all that going on around the world, finally something comforting. I will visit this place more often, so love can spread.
Best Noodle House
9329 Valley Blvd, Rosemead, CA 91770, United States
Show no care for the food, 20min was their common past for noodle soup and for sure, both noodle and vege were over-cooked in my case. service is horrible. the glass door had been crush up for days with noting replacement in summer. so you will have a good chance to enjoy your food with curious flies. waitress hide in wall with simple belief, never show up without called. ohh, by the way, this store is CASH ONLY.good luck, if you dare. When there were not many customers, we had to wait for more than 20 minutes for our two bowls of noodles, and the noodles and vegetables were already lumpy. A glass door was completely smashed, and glass fragments could still be seen outside the store. The store did not take any protective measures or remedies at all, allowing hot air and flies to come in. The store is located in a remote location and there are no warnings outside the store, so there is no shortage of drug addicts smoking a cigarette outside the store after a meal. The clerk hides behind the crenellation of the wall and will never come out unless the customer calls. No credit cards, only cash

Happy Buddha Kitchen

This was my first time eating dine-in at Happy Buddha Kitchen (they opened not too long ago + My fam and I usually order to-go). Hand sanitizer at each table and employees all wear masks. All vegetarian menu (some vegan options as well but I'm not sure which menu items).Highly recommend for even non plant-based friends & fam to try! I heard the owner hired a bunch of old-timers in the restaurant business to work on the menu, and it really shows ?. I haven't tried every item on the menu yet, but I've been pleasantly surprised by how good the ones I have are (tmi: I don't tend to like eating imitation beef/fish). A lot of the pho restaurants in the area with vegetarian pho also tend to have a slightly sweet broth, and the one at this restaurant isn't at all.My favorite so far is the Pho Dac Biet (I didn't order it this time), especially that combo of the crunchy tofu skin (I think it's supposed to be crispy chicken skin ?) and beyond meat balls.
Banh Mi My Tho Vietnamese Sandwich
9011 Garvey Ave C, Rosemead, CA 91770, United States
All the hype on insta and yelp are real! This place seriously has one of the best bahn mis around. Got the #1;Special - Cold cuts (Sliced pork loaf, ham and head cheese) grilled pork, pork pate of course all the sandos comes with - Toasted French bread, egg yolk mayo spread, pickled daikon radish and carrot, cucumber, cilantro and slices of jalapeno. The flavor and amount of veggies were more then ample. As for the pork meat balls and pork fried egg rolls both were 3/5. I dont even know if they have this because I wasnt given any but if I were to come again, I would ask for sauce. Actually, I would say bmc pho currently holds the record for fried egg rolls, sooo good and at 95cents a piece! Cant wait to come back and try the bbq pork bahn mi!Lastly, the area has onsite parking but it does get really full. I would suggest parking on the street or neighborhood if you are in a hurry.
Summer Rolls
5728 Rosemead Blvd #100, Temple City, CA 91780, United States
Summer Roll in Temple City has recently reopened its main dining room after three years of offering only take-out service. The menu is still as extensive as before with some exciting new additions. During a recent visit, I had the pleasure of trying out three dishes, including the signature dish Nam, Banh Mi sandwich, and Grill Pork with Broken Rice and Steamed Egg.The Nam dish is still as delicious as before, with a crispy skinny egg roll inside. However, the standout dish for me was the Grill Pork with Broken Rice. The pork was well seasoned and incredibly tasty. It was undoubtedly my favorite dish.I also had the opportunity to speak with the owner, who has been running the restaurant for a long time. He was very friendly and clearly puts his heart into the food. He created a delectable special sandwich that was out of this world. Instead of using the traditional French baguette bread, he used Italian ciabatta to add more texture to the sandwich. The sandwich included trimming eggs and their signature Nam, and it was truly heavenly.I was pleasantly surprised to see that the prices have remained pretty much the same as before the pandemic. The lunch and dinner hours are always busy, so I recommend getting there early to secure your table.Even without my recommendation, this restaurant is already well known with a reputation for good Vietnamese food. I would still highly recommend Summer Roll in Temple City for anyone looking for authentic and delicious Vietnamese cuisine. The reopening of their main dining room has only made the dining experience better, and I cant wait to go back and try more dishes on their menu.
President Thai Restaurant
498 S Rosemead Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91107, United States
We arrived 1/2 an hour before closing and we were immediately seated. Customer service was nice and our meal was fresh and hot. We ordered 3 dishes (pad see ew with chicken, Chinese broccoli crispy pork, and seafood noodle soup), hot tea, and a Thai Tea. Our total was $52. Not bad. The restaurant appears to be clean and theres plenty of parking in the parking lot and out curbside.
Pho Ga District
#, 3119 N San Gabriel Blvd J, Rosemead, CA 91770, United States
Quick service, kind and efficient workers, sanitizing game on point, and all importantly the food is great. What you come for is the pho ga (chicken pho - bone in or off, noodles are customizable but standard is the medium width rice noodle, which I like better than the vermicelli). Broth has a rich flavor and enough fat to give it a good mouth feel. Ordered extra for the next day and there's a good jiggle to the broth. Also ordered the banh cuon (steamed rice rolls with cha lua (pork loaf), stuffed with wood eared mushroom, pork, and this one has an addition of shrimp), goi (Vietnamese green papaya salad with an option of shredded chicken or beef), Hai Nam chicken, and BBQ pork chop rice with fried egg and steamed cabbage. All tasty but would absolutely return next time for my chicken pho cravings.
