I have family in Concord and pretty much every time I go to California, I eat here. The owners are friendly. The food is good. The food is fresh. The choices are plenty. The portions are adequate and the prices are reasonable. The owners remember our favorites and always ask me what took me so long to come back. Everything I look for when I eat out. When I eat at other Chinese restaurants, I feel guilty. It’s like home and I am very comfortable here for eat-in or take out.

03/09/22 @5 PMIt is quite a restaurant. Plenty of indoor sitting low lightning, would pass for a date setting.Seems most of their orders are online to go. So inside is pretty free. Make sure you tell them you are dine in so they can seat you asap.They offer hot tea when you sit.Ordered the plum wine which is known for being sweet. [Kinsen]Side rice is plain so you know nothing is added. A plus for me. Although it did taste not as fresh. Grain seems to be jasmine.For app i Ordered some Boiled Meat DumplingsPretty good very hot [temp] even better with soy sauce.For the main i ordered the Hot Braised Beef Stewed - came in a nice bowl still bubbling from how hot it is. Flavour was good a bit on the saltier side but you can taste hints of different spices, meat was a mix of lean and fatty pieces, with the side of rice this was a good dish. It is on the mild side. Both app and main dish had stronger taste of ginger and garlic i enjoyed it.Server was nice not bothering while eating.They do only give you one napkin to start so dont be messy? They offer 1 more if you ask.Overall decent experience.

The best Chinese food in Concord (California),... period. ❤?❤Been a customer for more than twenty (20) years, and the food at The Chinese Kitchen restaurant Does Not ever leave me disappointed. ❤I do have my favorites on the menu, but as Ive branched out more on the menu over the years, I find myself increasingly adding more food items to my favorites list. ❤Once again, its clearly Concords best Chinese food restaurant. By far!!! ?❤?Its located on 3426 Clayton Road, near the El Monte Shopping Center, across the parking lot from the Clayton Furniture store.Go and give The Chinese Kitchen restaurant a try, trust me, they havent been in business (with their level of excellent Customer Satisfaction, and their local loyal Customer Support fan base) this long for no good reason. ❤

I honestly dont understand the hate that this place gets when I mention it.Yes its cheap Chinese food but what do you expect for a buffet???The employees are always super friendly & welcoming. They always make sure our drinks are topped off & that the buffet area stays cleanThe food is also very good & they offer a very nice selection. I would take this place any day over a Chinese restaurant due to the prices. It was only $32 & some change for me & my buddy to eat here. That includes drinks.Overall I would definitely recommend this place for lunch. Dinner hours do offer a bit more selection but its usually more crowded so its up to you.

I called for delivery when they answerd some guy answered please tell me your the cab driver i said so he said so you want to order sone food hold on let me pass you to the kitchen i was on hold for 5 mins yet i could hear alot of noise and sceaming in the backround. When he passed me to the kitchen they were not able to hear my order due to the noise. I simply hung up and told myself i dont want to eat food from a place that treats customers like that. I will let everyone i know to never eat at this place. Worst service ever. Too bad they are the only Chinese restaurant who delivers

They told me the owner changed. And they brag about how they changed everything in a good way (like how they fry the popcorn chicken differently) but all I can see is the sauce tastes watery and fishy ((it used to be great) I used to come here often and I gave a five star review (which I just deleted) to this place.) They added water (or whatever) in the Sriracha its so obvious when you shake the bottle you can see it and its a totally different texture if you pour it out. (Try pouring it out into another sauce you can see it clearer) They mix the leftover sauce with the new sauce (we requested more sauce) in front of everyone (yes on our table in front of us we were all starring at her (the owner/manager)) I mean I dont have problem with that I know restaurants do that but in front of my eyes? She just doesnt seem like she cares. I went to the bathroom it wasnt so bad. (hey guys, always go to the restroom of a restaurant, thats what they let you see) But in the bathroom I heard people in the kitchen sneezing... A lot, and hard. Sick chef in the kitchen? What? I had a friend who used to be working here, and he/she (dont wanna expose he/her) said the owner forced them to sell stuff, go to every table and brag about their food and new ownership. He/she is an introvert so he/she hated it. I just thought it was super annoying when they do that (go to every table bragging about their stuff) but it seems like they stopped doing that now. People who went there late August would know what Im talking about. I really wish they would change some of these problems after seeing this review. Customers can see it, we are not blind.
