I am incredulous that these reviews are of the same place we ate last night. We heard that there was a new Chinese restaurant open in Mill Valley. The place was staffed by two teens in t-shirts, who sat behind the counter as we seated ourselves. No one came over to check on us, and we had to figure out that we needed to order at the counter. We then ordered at the counter, and the credit card machine had helpful tips at 25%, 22%, and 18%. I stupidly gave them an 18% tip, before realizing we were going to get no service at all. They dropped the food on the table when all was ready - they did not bring the drinks or appetizers first, as any waiter in any restaurant in the world would do. The food was cold except for the spring rolls, which were very good. The chow mein tasted burnt, the portion sizes of the beer and entrees were very small. No one ever came to see if we needed anything, and didn’t even bother to say goodbye when we left. To say we will never return is an understatement. I hope management reads this and actually gives the teenage staff some training in how to actually work in a restaurant. I will be curious to see if this place is still here in 6 months. Oh, for the good old days of Jennie Low’s!

Great Chinese restaurant. Best I have had in Marin. Highly recommend. Try the Harmony signature chicken or orange peel chicken. Delicious. Exceptional to go bar. Very fresh and tasty.

Most legit Chinese Food in Marin. I’m surprised that there’s a restaurant like this here. Usually, I’d have to drive to Inner Richmond in SF for my Chinese Food fix. So glad to have found this place!

Lams kitchen is our absolute favorite restaurant in Mill Valley. Mae is the sweetest person ever and you can taste the love and kindness in the food. Im a vegetarian and she is always so helpful in either altering a dish to fit my needs or recommending a different one that she thinks I will like. Her husband, the chef, never disappoints as Ive never not liked something from his kitchen. Im pretty sure Ive tried just about everything vegetarian on the menu at this point and its all delicious. My boyfriend, Bobby, is not a vegetarian. He always orders the orange chicken or the general Tsos chicken and the chow mein. Mae will also recommend things for him as well if he needs a change. Seriously, best Chinese food in the area. Go here if youd like good food, a friendly atmosphere, and to support a small business as its just Mae and her husband.

To be honest, I was quite disappointed with several aspects of my visit.First and foremost, the pricing was a major concern. The pancakes alone were priced at a staggering $18, which, in my opinion, seemed exorbitant, especially considering they appeared to be more decorative than substantial. Additionally, paying $9 for eggs, $4 for hash browns, $7 for sausage, and $7 for a glass of orange juice felt excessive.What further added to my disappointment was the quality and hygiene of the meal. I found a gnat in the fruit served with my meal and discovered a hair on my plate. This lack of attention to cleanliness was not only off-putting but also unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber.In conclusion, I regret to say that this dining experience did not justify the total cost. It appears that a significant portion of the expense goes toward food presentation rather than taste and quality. For those seeking a better value for their money and a more hygienic dining environment, I would recommend exploring other dining options in the area.

Great lunch at Harmony Chinese restaurant, delicious Chow Fun and Honey Shrimp with Walnuts then a consultation with California Closets with their designer, who used impressive computer design software to help design our closets and other areas.

This was the most bland Thai food Ive ever had in my entire life. It cost about 50% more of what it would most places, but the quality was literally the worst thai food. It upset my stomach. The service was not good either, slow, had to ask. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, would not go again. Closer to Chinese in flavor than Thai.

I've given this place many tries, with hopes that it will improve, but it just gets worse. If you show up to the buffet 45mins to an hour after opening, you'll be paying full price for the dregs. They don't refill the buffet items regardless of how many customers continue to show up. The servers are rude and tend to hover around you while you're serving yourself. If an item completely runs out you're basically hosed because they will not replace it. The food is not bad, not great but acceptable. That is if, you get to try it.
