Tasty Goody Chinese Fast

Hungry Fatty goes to Tasty GoodyHappening upon a Valpak advertisement for Tasty Goody, my eyes spied a 3 item combo w/ egg roll for $6.49. Appreciating a good deal when I see one, I made the quick jaunt to Tasty Goody for some lunch.Potato chicken, teriyaki chicken, salt & pepper chicken wings, egg roll & fried rice/chow mein-The potato chicken is chicken with potato wedges & sauce. Sort of like a Chinese poutine, I enjoyed the fluffy on the inside potato wedges and the tender chicken. The teriyaki chicken consisted of a grilled breast cut up in front of me & doused with teriyaki sauce. Without the teriyaki, the breast wouldve been bland on its on. It is a large protein serving, which is always a plus. Generous helpings of fried rice & chow mein wont keep you hungry. The chow mein seemed a little soggy, but I didnt mind too much. The only thing Tasty Goody skimped on were the salt & pepper wings. 1 item = 3 wing sections. I was hoping for at least 5, but alas, only 3. However, they were breaded well, with a little kick & my favorite of all I had.I asked if I could have soup as one of my items, but was told its a la carte only. Besides the already prepared food, Tasty Goody has made to order menu items, as well.In a hurry? Tasty Goody has a drive-thru for those that want to stay in their car. Parking is in a small private lot, with street parking available. A good amount of seating for those that choose to dine in. Service was good, as the ladies were friendly & appreciated my business.Without having high expectations coming in, I found Tasty Goody to be a decent Chinese fast food restaurant. Large servings (besides the salt & pepper wings) for a cheaper price than Panda Express can feed you for multiple meals. Saving a buck or two, but still having a filling meal, is always much appreciated by me and Tasty Goody fits that to a tee.Recommend!NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

This one has really gone downhill since the male manager started working there. He does the food & makes sure to put the food exactly in the little sections & he will underfill rather than overfill so you wont get more food. If youre lucky after the 1st scoop he will give you 1 or 2 extra pieces, but still not enough. Maria is great but when he is there he wont let her do the food so you will never get enough & if she does give you food when hes there she will be just as stingy as he is. Last night she put rice in section supposed to put my entrée so when she added the Orange chicken there was hardly. 1 scoop of my other entrée, didnt even go back to add any more as usual so didnt fill that one up either. I ordered broccoli beef & there was only 1 piece of beef in the box container. I had to eat less just so my kids could have enough food. And they raised their prices by a $1. So now you pay more for less food. At least the food tasted great, which is hit or miss. Sometimes the chow mein & rice is overcooked. We left & went to Ho Ho China on Rosecrans & Pioneer to get more food. That is where we go now. We only go to Panda 1-2 times a month cause the kids like it, but for our weekly trips the kids know its Ho Ho China. Supposedly corporate cares about feedback but that cant be the case since they have been doing this for over a year.

Drove 12 miles from seal beach because the shop said they were open at 4:30am. They have a donut shop and a chinese food restaurant in 1. Donuts open at 4:30am chinese food does not open until 9:00am. Im livid that I just fought rush hour traffic to get to this place. Tried to call to ask if the restaurant was open before I drove here and the line was busy non stop for 20 minutes.

12/16/2023. Came back 4 years later and guess what? Nothing has changed. STILL HORRIBLE SERVICE!The two ladies running the front are rude. This is a seat down restaurant and not even two bites into our dinner and they were already asking us to pay. In order to try to enjoy our food, I paid right away. The waitress stood right over our shoulder the entire time and she kept taking our plates without asking if we were done eating. After such horrible experince they demanded a tip. I explained to them why I didnt tip and they got angry and follow us spraying some water as we left. The place was empty when we arrived and if they continue treating customers like this they will loose the few customers they have left.I know I wont go back.Ps. I am a believer on tipping, many people depend on tips to make ends meet. However, tips and not mandatory and must be earned. If, I receive good service I am generous and will tip even for to go orders.------------Food was delicious but the older lady kept coming to our table and looking over our shoulder. I dont know if they have a issue with people leaving without paying but even after we gave them our card and paid for our dinner she kept coming over to our table to the point I had to tell her to please let us eat our dinner in peace. Giving 3 stars because the food is good but wont be coming back.

Food was not how it used to be. Service well it's not welcoming. They have limited seating and most of their boxes are taking up seating space. Prior, you came in sat down and they would take your order. Now you order up front, pay, and sit down. It's fast service, what bothered me was that if you use a credit card, the owner will say not enough funds and that your card was declined. I was baffled since I'm no where near my credit limit. I paid with debit. When I sat down and other customers came in, she told them the exact same thing, not enough funds. You don't do that as a business to your customers. Simply surcharge credit card fees to the customer or put up a sign for cash only. I won't be back there again, it's not the same restaurant it once was. The food wasn't bad, just service and atmosphere.

It is close to 5 stars for a reason, it is delicious! THE best Chinese restaurant I have been to in Cali. I am from another state, and the Chinese food here... It is just not the same. This is just like home. I love the beef and broccoli . I have tried the beef and broccoli, chicken and broccoli, orange chicken, egg drop soup, cream cheese wonton, egg roll, and the fried shrimp. The beef and broccoli is out of this world, seriously, you have to try it. Broccoli isnt to crunchy, nor mush, and the beef is so tender. It seriously comes in so much tasty sauce! Can upgrade to fried rice for a small fee. The let you customize even, or at least they did when asked. I was able to get my egg drop soup plain (no tofu or veg) and they were even nice enough to swap my fried shrimp for a few cream cheese wontons. The cream cheese wontons have a touch of sweetness which is the best in my opinion. I wasnt a huge fan of the fried shrimp, and the orange chicken was a little on the sweet side.. (I prefer spicy). However, I can see why everyone else recommendeds it. The beef and broccoli was just sooooo good though. The family A dinner come with a big entree, 2 cream cheese wontons, an egg roll, 1 fried shrimp, and egg drop soup. It is worth it! All that food is enough for two, but you wont want to share, you will want to double up. The staff is always kind, they are quick, and they have never messed up my order. Very consistent! The chef is awesome and I would recommend this to anyone still on the hunt for a great chinese place! Only the buffets compare, but they arent nearly as clean! I have been here a few times, and really dont ever plan on going anywhere else. (Pictures vary, as they are from the last few times I came here.)

This is the worst Chinese restaurant that I’ve eating at, the food is disgusting and not good for human or dog consumption. Horrible customer service.
Chinatown Express

Never have I ever experienced such negative experiences in my life. I've been a loyal customer to this China Express location for years (15 years to be exact). I've only been ignoring their horrible customer service for years because of their food. However, my recent most negative experience happened when I was being served by one of the Asian ladies and as usual giving me horrible attitude. But this time she decided to only fill my plate halfway. I brought it to her attention and she became bothered with it. She reluctantly gave me a little more. Afterwards a Hispanic male chef approaches from behind her to the counter. He observes what Im getting, I bought a fountain drink, and then he says “You cant get a refill.” After all the awful service, this person comes up to me and tells me I cant get a refill when the fountain drink machine is open to the customers (not even one refill.) On top of their bad service this place isnt sanitary at all, there are rat traps in the back. I advise everyone to not come here if they desire excellent customer service & a sanitary space to eat.
