HanaMaru SUSHI

Many options. If youre looking for a japanese restaurant, I would highly encourage this place. Has rice bowls, bento, ramen, kids menu, and lots of sushi choices. The workers are very nice and positive. They have an age range of young to old, which can show authenticity. I personally went when it wasnt rush hour so food came out fast. Waiter checked up frequently to check on you if you need anything. All in all, I would definitely go back if im feeling of eating japanese food.

Kopan Sushi & Ramen
10031 Garden Grove Blvd, Garden Grove, CA 92844, United States
Dont judge the exterior facade by its appearance. ?I thought it was just a typical Japanese restaurant, but when we went inside, I said, wow, this is a great and cozy place to eat. Food was great. But I must share, I still need to taste their ramen, just my mom. I ordered a bento (I dont have a picture, unfortunately). But, I loved everything. Will be going back.

Ginkgo Katsu Bento
9562 Garden Grove Blvd G, Garden Grove, CA 92844, United States
Mom & Pop Japanese katsu restaurant located right in the middle of Koreatown, more precisely in the Korea Plaza shopping center. The owners of this establishment, however, are Japanese (not that Koreans dont know how to cook Japanese, but they tend to make the food more appealing to the Korean palate). So, the katsu is authentically Japanese and actually very delicious. In fact, its hard to find better-quality katsu in the area. The place is smallish, but very clean. If you avoid peak hours, you should easily be able to get seated immediately. The service is corteous and efficient. The food is served reasonably fast. You definitely dont want any faster. The katsu is fried very well: its crispy and light. The meat is good-quality and definitely excellent for the price. The gyoza are also very good: crispy, light, and flavorful. Highly recommended.

Kyotori Japanese Restaurant
9789 Chapman Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92841, United States
Did you know that there lies a quaint sushi place that has become a favorite among locals and visitors alike? Now, you do! Kyotori has a warm, inviting vibe. It offers a casual dining experience that doesnt compromise on the quality of its dishes. The menu has an array of sushi options, from the classic rolls, nigiri and sashimi to more innovative ones that cater to both traditional and adventurous tastebuds. Each dish is prepared with the freshest ingredients. The chefs take great pride in their creations. The Jalapeño Albacore Roll and the Scallop & Lobster Baked Roll stand out as must-try dishes for any sushi lover. The Jalapeño Albacore Roll has excellent balance and flavor. This roll blends heat and delicacy in a way that enhances the fishs natural flavor without overpowering it.The Scallop & Lobster Baked Roll is a luxurious indulgence and my favorite! This roll is generously filled with tender scallops and succulent lobster, then topped with a creamy, savory sauce before being baked to perfection. It is a comforting dish. The seafood is cooked just right, maintaining its juiciness. Its a dish that both comforts and excites, making it an unforgettable part of any meal at Kyotori. What sets this restaurant apart, however, is not just the quality of its food but the exceptional service. Dave and Thinh went above and beyond to create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, making diners feel valued and appreciated. Whether you are a sushii connoisseur or a newcomer to Japanese cuisine, Kyotori offers an enjoyable meal that promises to leave you coming back for more!

Soyokaze Sushi
9542 Chapman Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92841, United States
Came on Sunday Night to celebrate party of 10, was asked to add our name to the clipboard outside. After 45 mins of waiting outside on the cold (they did turn warmers on after we asked) a hostess came out to tell us that it would be another 45 mins til we could get in. At that time we asked if we could be seated separately. After 20 mins more we were seated.. during that time we had already selected our food from the AYCE menu so we could be ready, our drink order was take after sitting for 20 mins. Then the server forgot half the drinks. He asked if we want to order and we handed him the selection sheet for the AYCE, and asked if it would be possible to see menu for the 5 not doing the AYCE, he said sure and took the paper with our food selection that normally goes to the chef, and crumbled and put in trash, then came back to bring menus and said can you fill AYCE menu selection as he lost ours and we told him you just crumbled it up and threw it away.. he seemed so dazed. So we did it again and asked if we could get the rest of our drinks, he said oh yeah and left. Anther server brought part of the non AYCE food and we asked for the drinks and finally they came .. the rest of the night continued like this.. and we then were charged a automatic 17% ($35) tip for party over 6 even though we could not sit together and the service was so bad we laughed. Would have given 1 star but the food was amazing!

Yogis Teriyaki

Normally I love this place, but not this experience. They have a minimum charge for ATM transactions, which is fine but it's set at $8 which if you get a large chicken bowl which is what I get, that come out to $7.55 so you cannot purchase just he chicken bowl you have to get a drink also which is a rip off I already have a drink, I don't need one, I just want the chicken bowl and the lady who was helping me was rude and just sitting their talking with the other workers, I had to call her over. Then she said no sorry, like not even any kind of like oh I'm sorry. She was very rude. I am not coming back to this one ever.

MISOYA ROCKIN SUSHI
8893 W Garden Grove Blvd, Garden Grove, CA 92844, United States
This place is a hidden germ!!! Every kind of foods, they take care of them really good from the seafood to the meat and to the vegetables. It is my second time try out this place and the taste is still remained the same and delicious. This place is not crowdy like the Kaju Tofu next door, so it is definitely hidden for some reason.Everyone should give it a try and you will see that only people who loves food would understand why! I do not want this place get popular because I just want to keep the original, but they are definitely deserved for sure.Recommendation for new beginners:1. Wakame Udon (Special taste reminds me when I was in Japan)2. Volcano Roll (white fish, the tast is just so unique)3. All sashimi if you are a sashimi lover (fresh for sure)

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar
13826 Brookhurst St, Garden Grove, CA 92843, United States
My brother got take out 2 OJYU Boxes $11.40 each but there were exactly 3small shrimp tempura, 2 small fish tempura, and 1 small green pepper tempura, and a small portion of beef. Everything small. So that means if you divide this portion into each box, it would contain about 1 oz of beef, 1.5 tiny shrimp tempura, 1 tiny fish tempura, and a tiny half green pepper tempura. Seriously??? I could not believe my eyes when I opened the boxes. I had to give my elderly Mom 2 shrimp and elderly Dad only 1. I gave Mom the green pepper tempura but she didnt eat it because she doesnt like pepper tempura. Kura went cheap giving each box a half shrimp yall! Half of a shrimp!!! They couldnt even provide 2 pieces each box. For the vegetable, a half of a tiny green pepper each box! Holy cow! Are businesses hurting this much guys? And instead of using better vegetables like yam, potato, zuchini, egglant...like most other Japanese restaurants use, but no, they went way way lower than standard. In my 49 years eating Japanese food at Japanese restaurants across the country, never have I seen such entree like this one. What an insult! Never again. I would not recommend.

MYMEN RAMEN
8851 Garden Grove Blvd STE 101, Garden Grove, CA 92844, United States
We tried this place today. The food was good, as was the service and that environment. What surprised us was that there were only 3 ramen choices on the menu. The other 4 meal choices were rice dishes. You read this right: there are only 7 meal options available. 4 little cucumber slices are the only vegetables available. If you wanted broth with the rice dishes, its another $4 or $5. I had one of the rice bowls, my husband one of the Ramen bowls. We also order Gyoza. The dipping sauce was a hot sauce (not dumpling sauce or soy sauce) and was small, like the mini wontons sold at Costco. The rice bowl was a little spicy, as was the gyoza. Since the restaurants is located in Little Seoul in Garden Grove, we concluded this was a Korean-Japanese restaurant. The food was tasty and the portions were a decent size for the price. Will probably come again, but only if we dont have our heart set on having Ramen.
