Located in a non-descript strip mall in Marina Del Rey. Surprising good food. My family had the Korean BBQ which they devoured. I tried the Meiji Soon Tofu Chigae soup, made from fresh organic tofu. It was excellent, probably one of the best tofu soups I have had. The service was quite good considering that when we walked in, the restaurant was empty but filled up in about 5 minutes. Everybody came in at the same time. The decor was basic but easy on the eyes. The ventilation system is excellent for a Korean BBQ. It was the first Korean BBQ where we left without smelling like the food.

Moto Azabu Sushi Bar & Grill
517 W Washington Blvd 2nd Floor, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292, United States
The fiance brought me here for an early Valentines Day Dinner and what a find! this is going to be our new go-to sushi place!we had the Kusshi Oysters, Akamutsu (fatty white fish), Toro, Salmon, Ankimo - Simmered (Monkfish liver), Dragon Roll, & of course ended with a scoop each of Hojicha and Black Sesame Ice Cream. EVERYTHING was delicious and the sushi was fresh!Moto Azabu cures their own Salmon and it is absolutely delicious. they are most known for their Toro - definitely try both the Salmon & the Toro. also try the Ankimo (simmered) b/c not many places have the simmered version.the fiance almost put some shoyu (soy sauce) on his Akamutsu piece by mistake but Taka-san stopped him just in time.the scoops of ice cream reminded me of my visits to Namba in Osaka, Japan and Arashiyama in Kyoto, Japan...i told the fiance, i dont want to contribute this find to Google Guide World b/c i want to keep this place a secret so we dont ever have to wait!but alas, sharing is caring & yalls should experience the delicious sushi at Moto Azabu.どうもありがとうございます Masa-san, Ken-san, Taka-san, & Jose for the wonderful and delicious meal! we plan on becoming regulars! Fat Sals - Venice Beach
37 Washington Blvd, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292, United States
I recently visited Fat Sals in Venice Beach and was thoroughly disappointed with my dining experience. I ordered the #1 milkshake, featuring chocolate ice cream, toasted marshmallow, and peanuts, and it was a letdown from the first sip. The concoction tasted bland, as if the ingredients lacked any genuine flavor. To make matters worse, the shake arrived melted, showcasing a lack of attention to detail in preparation. The use of cheap cream was evident, leaving a lingering aftertaste that was far from pleasant. I couldnt help but think Ive had better milkshakes at fast-food chains like McDonalds.Moving on to the Italiano sub, my disappointment continued. The bread was undeniably hard, robbing the sandwich of any enjoyable texture. The flavors were bland and generic, with nothing standing out to distinguish it from a mediocre sandwich. The quality of the meat was, at best, average – a far cry from the superior subs offered by other popular sandwich joints. Even the French fries, though made from fresh potatoes, failed to impress. They were bland, resembling cardboard, and left me wondering if they were fried in cheap oil rather than the flavorful richness of tallow.Service at Fat Sals was mediocre at best. The staff seemed disinterested, and the overall atmosphere lacked the enthusiasm one would expect from a dining establishment. Considering my underwhelming experience, I would generously rate Fat Sals in Venice Beach a 2/10. Unfortunately, even this score may be overly generous given the lackluster quality of both the food and service. Save your taste buds and your wallet – there are undoubtedly better dining options in the area

Im not sure how much detail I want to get into, but long story short we excitedly visited the Marina Del Rey location after seeing their advertised Happy Hour menu on their website. The staff seemed slightly confused about the happy hour. It probably took a painstaking 5-10 minutes to place what should have been a 45 second order. Luckily I was able to place my order with credit card because afterwards the credit machine broke and the guy behind me was asked to pay with cash. The prices I was charged differed quite a bit from the Happy Hour prices listed on the website, not sure if the prices have changed or I was mis-charged but either way this mistake should be fixed. When I pointed out the disparity to the staff member, they seemed confused also. Also as I review the receipt I am just noticing the $3 service charge which wasnt explained to me, and will be illegal after July 1st with new state law. Wish that had been disclosed. The food was pretty good, in particular the tempura fried shrimp tacos, but the confusion and difficulty in ordering is exhausting and ruined the overall experience. Im not local (Central Coast) so Im unlikely to return any time soon but if I was local this experience would probably leave me wanting to avoid the restaurant. My personal advice (for what its worth) would be:1) Update any pricing on the website to match what is in store2) Allow for better online ordering (Happy Hour items also!)3) Install an ordering Kiosk to take out the confusing staff ordering process4) Offer more transparent pricing on all things (including service charges)5) Keep serving good food!
COCOBEACH BAR & GRILL
404 Washington Blvd, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292, United States
Such a beautiful place. The staff were all top notch, I was greeted with water and chips and salsa. I had a watermelon margarita & it was amazing. The owner/manager, who ever he was, was the rudest person I've ever met in my ENTIRE life. It made my heart hurt watching how he treated his employees. It was absolutely disgusting how he treated them. To the staff, you are all doing amazing and you deserve so much more. To the owner, I'm sorry you were never taught values and right from wrong. I'm sorry for all of your pain but I refuse to watch you publicly humiliate employees that are doing a damn good job. You have a beautiful place and a lot of thought has went in to it, you should be proud. But check your attitude, it's not acceptable.

I hate giving 5 stars but everything was awesome, except that my Korean BBQ Philly Cheese Steak sandwich smelled like a wet bag of hot garbage as I brought it up to my face to take a bite. The taste was great so I got over the smell quickly. The Poke Nachos were very good too. Cool atmosphere, great staff, good prices. Nice fusion restaurant/bar, chain or not, good is good.
Pavilions
4365 Glencoe Ave, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292, United States
Best market around! Not only is it the Least Expensive, but they actually have the Best Fruit in town! Better than Ralphs & even Better than Gelsons! (I am not comparing Whole Foods because its too far away.) The people who work there are genuinely nice & helpful! Lines are not that long because supervisors call extra checkers to help. I Love their Chicken Soup for when Im sick. Im on a low sodium diet, so I just add a little water. Perfect combination of noodles, chicken, & soup!My husband likes the pre-packaged veggies that only need a little microwaving. Even our dog prefers sliced Turkey from Pavilions Deli better than the other local market delis! The taste is better & they are more evenly sliced!I still drink Silk Soy Milk, which they have, but they stopped carrying the Light Vanilla which was my favorite! As well, they usually carry Weight Watchers Giant Frozen Fudge Bars which, if you let melt awhile, taste just like the frozen malteds you used to get at movie theatres! Delish! Its surprising just how many varied items they sell at this Pavilions because it is not as large as others. But the drawback is that because of that, they do tend to run out of certain things at times like in the dairy department. Its good to learn when they restock your favorite foods. Speaking of favorite foods, Pavilions carrys my favorite freshly baked Bran Muffins! Not to sweet, not to dry, just perfect after 48 seconds in the microwave! You can always order them in advance & speaking of which, their bakery has THE BEST BIRTHDAY CAKES; Everyone says so, & the main consensus is Vanilla Cake, Vanilla Frosting with Vanilla Filling! They often have the same incredible Vanilla Cupcakes!! Excuse me while I drool! Fortunately, theres a Starbucks inside the store to top it off with a Cappuccino!Lastly, shopping is so easy at Pavilions! Its located in a small shopping center that includes a 24-hour CVS, a fabulous Yogurtland frozen yogurt that allows free tastes, a couple of banks with ATMs, restaurants, gas station, clothing stores, etc, plenty of handicap parking spaces, & its right by the Marina Freeway that leads to the 405, San Diego Freeway. ?
