GK Mongolian BBQ
6661 Stanford Ranch Rd Suite Q, Rocklin, CA 95677, United States
This is a new Mongolian BBQ that took over from what used to be Mongo GO-GO BBQ The owners retired to spend more time with family and perhaps do other things. Anyway, see.s timing is the key. Trying GK fornthe first time around 6pm, there was only 1 person at a table. We had 5 of us and then more families started coming in to have some GK.The hostest/server asked us for any drinks to get for us. Then after we sat down, we were given the options of included sides (plate of Cheese Rangoon, Crispy Wong Tongs and Fried Pot Stickers. Also included is a cup of Steamed Rice and cup of Soup. The selections for the veggies were minimal compared to the previous establishment. The sauce and the meat selection available are the usual. All in all, being serviced as we were, is excellent and the food was pretty good. With all that said, I will give a solid 5 stars rating for GK Mongolian BBQ that not only the service was spot on, the food delicious and for the fact that they are happy to honor veterans everyday.with a discount. Thank you so much GK. This is great.

This is our new favorite restaurant! The food is amazing, the place is clean and the staff is super friendly. The owner, Tamba, greeted us with a hearty welcome and cheerful smile. The whole staff seemed to genuinely care about our experience and really put in a lot of effort. We had the Garlic Parmesan Wings, AfroRibs, and the Tanjier Stew with a Whole Fried Red Snapper. Fresh Hibiscus Tea to drink. The three plates easily will make six to eight meals. The portions are very generous. Seriously, I hope youre hungry. The wings were huge and crispy. The garlic concoction on them is fermented which imparts a unique flavor Ive not had before. I usually pass over chicken wings but my wife likes them, so we ordered them. I couldnt stop myself. Theyre so delicious. The ribs made me feel like Korean royalty. Gochujang and sesame combined with a West African spice palette. Tender juicy meat on the bone and once again, very generous portions. Finally, Tangier Stew with a Whole Fried Snapper. They mean whole... as in eyeballs, bones, tail, head, all of it. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, just perfect. The Tanjier Stew is a peanut based soup that is similar to Thai Satay, but its thinner and savory rather than sweet. Its paired with garlic jasmine rice. My wife is not much of a rice fan, yet couldnt put down the spoon. The hibiscus tea is sweet but also spiced. It is non alcoholic and served cold, but somewhat reminded me of mulled red wine or German Gluhwein.I highly recommend this place. I added a photo which was taken after we had already started eating so keep in mind the portionsare bigger than the photo. My wife held out her hand for scale.Well definitely be back!
Ph Vegan Asian Cuisine
6661 Stanford Ranch Rd E, Rocklin, CA 95677, United States
We had the Filipino pancit, orange chicken, lemon grass tofu, and fried rice. The orange chicken veggie meat was rubbery & stale & sauce wasn't orange in color or in taste. The bell peppers and onion it was made with was barely cooked. Tastes like veggies and veggie meat was warmed in microwave & then doused with sauce. Lemon grass tofu was drowned with what tasted like the same sauce as “orange chicken” There was no lemongrass taste in the dish. Same deal with the veggies as in the orange chicken. Pancit was mostly onions with a sprinkle of thin noodles. It was not Filipino pancit in taste or texture. The fried rice was barely covered with/soy sauce. It was mostly white rather than the dark brown color you're used to seeing with fried rice. One good thing I have to say about this place is that the service was very friendly which is not common in Asian restaurants (in my experience)Good customer service not so good food.
Melting Grill

Finally we have a Korean restaurant in Roseville (other than the BH) where we can experience the food we see in a kdrama.. we had pork belly, beef rib noodles soup& tteokbokki.. everything was excellent and more. The soup was of the chart.. definitely will be back for more.. cant wait to try other items from the menu..One thing though, I wish they would have played Korean music rather that American.. as a non Asian who never been to any Asian country, I go to the restaurant to experience the food & culture.. and kpop has such a vast range of artists and really good music.. other than that I really love the place.

Bennetts Westside Grill

Poor experience. My wife and I came for Sunday brunch (at 9:15am they had just opened) approx. 10 other customer already seated. Staff were unorganized, everyone walking around with no urgency or purpose. Slow to get service, slow to get basic questions answered about the menu. My crab omelet arrived 20min after ordering and my wifes food arrived another 8 minutes later? Waitress blamed the kitchen “they are busy?” Every meal that came out of the kitchen was 1 plate at a time and the staff carried the food around to each table asking if they had order it? Never seen anything like it.The food; I ordered a new item Dungeness crab omelet with their house smashed potatoes -- just a basic looking egg omelet on a plate with potatoes = nothing appealing (could have been Denny's) Really? -- I thought it was their special -- how about some appeal? Add some crab to the top, avocado or at least some green onions would have gone a long way? The omelet had good flavor but not fantastic, the smashed potatoes were soggy and bland…nothing special. Wife got the corned beef hash which was pretty good (a little wet almost stew like?). The bill came and our $44 special was written up as $54? Had to flag down the waitress for a correction. She again blamed someone else “I asked them to fix this” my question is did you proof it before you dropped it on our table and walked away? We are a neighbors and walked over for brunch and we were very excited and left disappointed. Good Luck Bennett's, hope things get better.
China Villa
6819 Lonetree Blvd, Rocklin, CA 95765, United States
This place is my favorite restaurant and it has been for over a year. I literally go to China Villa once a week or more. I get the beef fried rice, orange chicken, and the salt & pepper calamari each time and split the food and price with friends. When I get take out I usually get the beef chow mein but all of them are amazing. If you like Chinese and Korean food you need to try this place! Tip: its best to bring two or three people with you so you can all share food and order lots of dishes.
Tokyo Dori Sushi and Grill
5050 Rocklin Rd, Rocklin, CA 95677, United States
The rib eye teriyaki today was TERRIBLE. I have been going there around once a month for almost 2 years and even tho the service has always been poor, the rib eye teriyaki WAS unique and exceptional. Apparently there is a new cook...I couldnt get a clear reason for the change. I did get a kind of this is the way we are doing it. I said then I wont be coming back. It didnt seem to have much impact on the staff. It was not tender as it has been in the past, nor did it have any flavor. So they made another batch. It was more tender and had a bit more flavor....of soy sauce. YUK. I ate about a third of the second batch because I was starving but immediately upon leaving, went to get ice cream to try to get rid of the lingering, salty after-burn of so much soy sauce. When they brought the check, they asked if I wanted any boxes. I told them I didnt because the food just wasnt any good. OH yeah! I almost forgot, I ordered hot tea. IT WAS NOT EVEN LUKEWARM! When I told the waitress, she said, oh really. Do you want me to heat it up? Heat up tea that had been steeped in tap water??!! No, I dont think so. I was charged full price for the meal. No comp or discount was offered. I didnt see the point in arguing it since I had already made my case that I wouldnt return if this was the new way it was going to be prepared and that hadnt inspired them to try to retain my business. I had already made it clear that I had been coming for a long time and didnt understand why it didnt taste the same. Its sad. I know restaurants are difficult businesses. Lots of turnover. The service has always been terrible but I was able to overlook it because of their teriyaki. Now that is apparently gone, I will NOT go back. It wasnt teriyaki. It was soy sauce.
Noodles and Company

Noodles and company is one of my favorite restaurants to go to when I want To get a quick pasta fix. I like the penne Rosa and it could be ordered with Or without chicken. I thought mine with feta cheese it’s delicious. My wife gets the Korean beef noodles. The service here is very fast and the staff are pleasant and efficient. I thought my noodles with Suraci sauce. It’s their own Sriracha sauce and it is a perfect couple. I recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a great pasta.
Ph Saigon

We ordered potstickers, a bowl of wonton pho, dac biet pho, shrimp and beef spring rolls, and a Korean rib rice plate. My daughter liked the fried potstickers that we ordered a second serving. I was told that the restaurant came under new management some five months ago. The place kept its tidy interior and the tables felt new. We enjoyed our lunch here. Our food is carefully prepared and the server was especially helpful.
