Olive Garden Italian Restaurant
6874 Katella Ave, Cypress, CA 90630, United States
Went to dine at Olive Garden in Cypress on Katella Avenue as I had work in that area as we walked in the restaurant there were two hosts on the left, taking orders for takeout. No acknowledgment.Main host stand - There was nobody standing on the main host stand, and from far right side a girl start walking towards the host stand she did not make eye contact or acknowledged, . She had her head buried down as she walked up the stand she looked up and said how many I said 2, and without any word she started walking towards the left side of the dining hall with menus on hand . my back towards the door she did not care to point in the direction she was taking us, as she walked ahead she abruptly stopped at the first left-hand side table which seemed like a handicap section which had one chair one side, and this was facing the kitchen all the servers, Bussers, walking around the table.I looked around the restaurant, I saw a booth against the wall I said, could we sit there ? She said, let me check she acted like she's getting on the the headset and asked somebody she said OK .I was really surprised why she made a decision to make me want to sit in that uncomfortable seating .we sat in the booth She didn't say anything she did not inform us what was going to happen next if my server is going to come .Next… few minutes later a young gentleman walked over his name was Vicente very nice very jovial very personable had a very smiling face. Got us going, we started appetizers Vicente helped us pick our great suggestions . I am still disturbed by Eliana's attitude all this time I'm observing that seat she said other people in the restaurant but she never asked anyone to seat in that table and pretty soon the restaurant start filling up because it was getting busy for the dinner time but at any time she did not ask anybody else to sit at that table that she wanted me to sit down.I don't know it's my brown skin or I don't know if i looked like I cannot afford Olive Garden, but she made a judgment call of having me sit in that table right in the middle of the restaurant facing the kitchen where everybody's walking I would have ended up having a lousy dining experience.while sitting over there eating my dinner, it was eating me up. It was bothering me all this time I kept documenting if anyone is seated there . The kitchen manager Julie or Julia, very professional asked if the food was good, when she came came to the table. My bill was $77.10 I was very happy to pay with 18% tip . When leaving we walked towards the host stand, and that girl Eliana was standing. the guest with me asked if you guys have any toothpicks she didn't even look up. She just totally ignored. There was another young gentleman standing on the left side he pointed towards the toothpicks, and then we left.I have been to Olive Garden many times . It's a class organization for some reason this experience left a very bad taste in me for the host to discriminate me treated me like I don't belong there .A host is a person is a face of your restaurant when a guest walk in if the Host doesn't have a pleasant personality or at least happy to be working, even if it's fake and not give directions to the guests that is a bad start of a dining experience .Eliana she absolutely ruined my dinner. I didn't mind paying hundred dollars for the dinner that's the least of my concern. I think Eliana is racist . I thought you guys would like to know .thank you..

Really good solid korean food. Reminds me so much of the small mom and pop shops located in ktown in LA. The portion size is huuge and soo good. We ordered the gamjatang and it was the best I ever had. The meat was so tender practically falling off the bone and the soup was super flavorful and had so much depth. They added a lot of potatos too which was a surprise! Usually restaurants are pretty stingy with the potatos for this soup. Side dishes especially the radish kimchi complemented the soup so well. The restaurant itself was pretty crowded filled with old korean people - thats when you know this is place is legit. We also ordered the galbitang for takeout and it was sooo goood!

Chicken noodle soup was excellent!! Wisconsin Mac & Cheese too. Will definitely be back and try some other menu items. My only suggestion f iui r this restaurant? They need to supply a larger soup spoon. ?
Panera Bread
470 E Cypress Ave, Redlands, CA 92373, United States
So for some reason I thought it would be a good idea to revisit Panera Bread, well I was wrong! Still slow as f***, only 1 cashier @ 7:30 PM, only 2 pple in front of me but it took 10 mins. Doubt Ill be back unless they start giving away free bagels.First, they only had one cashier and were very busy, with seven pple in front of me it was a long wait on a Thur eve at 7ish. It would be better if they had more staff available.Second, I ordered the pick 2 with a BLTA with no tomato and and a Thai chicken salad with no edame. When I got my order I noticed they forgot the bacon on my sandwich. I notified the server and while she was getting my bacon I focused on my salad with no edame.Thirdly, my Thai chicken salad came loaded with wonton strips. I think the preparer got confused and added double wonton strips instead no edame. As I was eating this not so tasty salad I noticed it had no chicken. But by this point, I had eaten half of it and didnt notice the missing chicken because of the excessive wonton strips. As I started picking the wonton strips out is when I noticed there was no chicken. And by this point I had eaten about half of it and didnt really care for it, the dressing is not to my liking.I was upset that I spent $15 on a meal I couldnt eat. I wont be going back unless its for bagels and cream cheese. And fourth, to top it off, I brought a brownie dessert back home to enjoy later in the eve and it was hard and not very tasty.Lastly, all of the napkin dispensers were empty and the staff were stingy when I asked for extras. It seems to me theyre trying to save money: understaffed and stingy with the paper goods.Imo, they could turn the a/c up a notch or two and save a few bucks. It was so cold I was glad I had a sweater. The penny pinching is starting to show.Unfortunately, its not the Panera bread of the past ?

Sandwich House

This is going to be a strange way to describe a Vietnamese banhmi shop, but this is not like any other banh mi shop (any that Ive been to at least). Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by shop owners Vu and his sister Anne, and the other smiley gentleman who made my sandwich in the kitchen. While Vu was kindly going over the menu with me, I was overcome with a sense of peacefulness.. maybe it was the 4pm sun coming through the windows, the old school purple barstools and purple orchids on every table, or even his white hair which made you feel like you were talking to a wise sage. Anyway, I was already having a good experience just ordering my house special sandwich (#1) when it gets even better! His sister comes out from the back and greets me with a bowl of buttery sugary toast and an iced jasmine tea saying she was so happy that I came and wishing me a happy Vietnamese new year and everything. And even when my sandwich came out, the owner handed it to me with both hands and a small head bow, and let me tell you, if youve never felt this level of kindness and respect from a food joint, you need to come experience this for yourself. And since I wasnt expecting so many goodies, I had so many things to carry, so without hesitation, Anne picked everything up, walked me to my car and opened my door for me! I left feeling so taken care of hahah. And later I found two extra cookies in my bag. Anyway, the sandwich was awesome and I like that you can use your debit card here. I know this review was longer than usual, but I had to share my awesome experience. Much gratitude to Sandwich House, I will definitely be coming back soon.
CJ Deli
5491 Ball Rd, Cypress, CA 90630, United States
4.5. 1/2 star loss because they ran out of squaw bread, the reason I was there. Squaw bread is a popular choice. Decided on rye because I like to choose breads that arent typical. Avocado, bacon and turkey on rye instead of squaw. Sounds like an odd combo but it worked. This was hands down one of the best sandwiches Ive had. Bread was fluffy and soft. Avocado and turkey were plentiful. Bacon crispy. Ordered a large combo but should have ordered regular. Will go again. Hopefully, I can score some squaw bread.Update - had #46 deli-k-sea on squaw. Soooo delicious. I had to go back for more. Tuna on squaw bread with avocado and pepper jack cheese. It was all I could think about afterwards. Chef salad was also good. What you dont see is the spinach leaves mixed in, thinly sliced eggs and avocados and shredded carrots.
Uroko Cafe
5895 Katella Ave C, Cypress, CA 90630, United States
I finally discovered the gem of poke restaurants - Uroko Cafe, after having it on my list for forever! This fast-paced eatery serves up the freshest and most mouth-watering poke bowls Ive ever had. The staff is friendly and efficient, making ordering a breeze. For my order, I got a bowl of white rice with two scoops of protein - spicy tuna and octopus, mixed with the Original Sauce. The portions for proteins, as well as sides and toppings, were generous! However, the spicy tuna was not as spicy as I hoped for. The octopus was chopped into small pieces instead of chunky ones. Not to mention, parking is a breeze even during the busy lunch hour. You can easily park on the side of the building, which is conveniently located next to the Courtyard by Marriott. If youre looking for a quick and delicious lunch option, look no further than Uroko Cafe. I guarantee you wont be disappointed!
Newcastle Produce
9230 Cypress St, Newcastle, CA 95658, United States
Have been going to Newcastle Produce for at least 10 years. My sister used to deliver fresh eggs, hence the discovery of this rare fresh produce grocer and deli. We usually purchase as many as possible of the daily, fresh, homemade peanut butter cookies ....which we freeze for afternoon tea. In addition, we choose several of the deli salads and some of the fresh vegetables. Sometimes, we indulge in the homemade salted caramels or other local delights. Always an adventure and great experience-the staff are friendly and offer their best service...if slow, it is because they care about the products they serve! A treasure!!!
Sequoia Woods Country Club
1000 Cypress Point Dr, Arnold, CA 95223, United States
Great memories of this club as a guest of my father in law who i also have great memories of. Private country club closed to the public except the restsurant and bar. The cours is par 70 i think. 36 front 34 back. Wide open but long or seems so the first 9. Back nine is short but narrow and up hill. Greens are fast. I really liked this coursd. I think there are cabins you can rent also. Its open in the winter if clear of snow or frost. Itd in Blue Lake Springs just south of Arnold on Hwy 4. Cal Big Trees is only a few miles east on 4.
Chaba
5111 Ball Rd, Cypress, CA 90630, United States
Very delicious. However, the first waiter was too cruel. It was my first time going to a restaurant, so I didnt know what to expect, so when I asked a question, they put their hands in their pockets, opened the menu for the first time, and acted as if theyd understand if they saw it. The way he said it was in a bossy way, looking at him from above.I was thinking of going home, but since it was highly rated, I had no choice but to try it.The second waiter was pretty average, but he looked like an angel with a cute figure. As for the service, I cant give it a single star, its -5.The taste is definitely delicious! ️The first Pad Thai I tried was too sweet for me, but when I got the Hot Sauce and Spicy Sauce, it was delicious! ️ So, I didnt really know how to eat it, so I mixed it up and ate it like ramen rice. So, I ordered Panang Curry Shrimp and Green Curry Beef to take home, but this restaurant also made the mistake of often getting it wrong. They give us hot food in boxes to take home, but the steam makes them soggy and tastes bad. Moreover, it becomes easily damaged... Its really bad to put piping hot curry, reasonably hot rice, and raw vegetables in the same container. Dont you understand? So, when ordering take-out, let it cool before packaging it! ️If you are offering a take-out menu, please understand these basic things. Tips are not required for take-out menus, but recently people have started asking for tips. Therefore, we write To Go and put $1.⁰⁰ for each box. After that, I will add small change as a tip for 15% or more, but not for 18% and 20%. No matter where you go to the store, they will tell you that the amount includes consumption tax and taxes, such as 20%. Please send a tip for the tax as well! ️ I was very surprised ?!! Its ️. Of course this store was the same. However, is the tip guide from 15% still within an acceptable range?Ill write the English review later. lol lol lol
