I ADORE THIS PLACE :)I love going here for breakfast/brunch! Check to make sure theyre open though because a couple of times I went and they were closed ): Parking might be a little difficult, street parking or there is a parking garage nearby. They have A LOT of tables outside so SIT OUTSIDE! Its so relaxing to sit outside and enjoy your food :)FOOD:1. Belgian Waffles with Spiced apples and Pecans: I love their plain belgian waffles but this one takes the cake! The pecans are a great because they add a nice nutty flavor and crunch to waffles and the spiced apples gives it a nice cinnamon kick and sweetness. definitely my favorite of all their waffle choices! The waffle is also pretty big and its nice and fluffy :)2. Smoked Salmon Bagel Plate: This a favorite breakfast/brunch staple of mine and its really well done here. If you want something salty and savory, go with this dish. The salmon had a nice smoked flavor and the plate comes with capers, onions, tomatoes, and cream cheese. Its delicious! And they give a pretty good amount.3. Their pastries were all pretty good, nothing too special.DRINKS:1. Frosted Mocha: rich, decadent, and smooth. I love this drink, but you should definitely share because it was hard for me to finish it alone.2. Mexican Mocha: I wish it had a little more spice to it, but it was pretty good.

We go here whenever we want to eat lunch in a lovely garden setting on a beautiful day next to a gurgling fountain. Our table had an umbrella so we were perfectly shaded. My medium cooked hamburger on a brioche bun and wedges of potato fries were so good I ate it all even though Im supposedly keto and dont eat carbs typically. The desserts are beautiful and good but the best dessert by far was the ginger creme brulee with a delicate texture (not thick and pasty) and it wasnt too sweet at all despite having a turbinado or demerara sugar sprinkling in addition to the usual caramelized sugar coating. The custard wasnt sweetened it seemed so the balance was perfect. I ordered an English breakfast tea to go with it and the teapot that it came in was lovely and added to the garden ambience. Perfect for an early Mothers Day lunch which we were having.I dont think we would order the bread pudding again though. It was fine but on the dense side and was the only dish we didnt feel good enough to finish but the other two desserts were completely devoured. The third dessert was the molten chocolate cake. It was not the best molten chocolate cake but it was the most beautifully plated with enough ice cream and we very much enjoyed it.Theres indoor seating but I cant imagine going to this restaurant and not making the most of the beautiful outdoor seating in a garden setting.Dont forget to shop at the little shops next to the cafe before and after lunch such as the gift shop which benefits the Stanford childrens hospital and is 100% volunteer run so be sweet to the volunteers in there. Its always nice to wander all the cute boutiques there as well as the art gallery. One of the artists is always there at the desk and their work will be outside the gallery on the easel.

The Sand Hill Kitchen
2400 Sand Hill Rd, Menlo Park, CA 94025, United States
True hidden gem buried deep in an office park off kajillionaire row aka Sand Hill Road. As the saying goes, follow the money...errr, in this case, follow it AND where it eats. What a tasty, pleasant surprise...this small cafe punches way above its weight. Burgers, sandwiches, pastries, salads, coffee...and maybe the best fries in all of the Peninsula (is that possible?!). Everything is delicious but special shout out for the homemade pimento cheese & saltines appetizer which you just dont find around these parts and done right. Highly recommend, but keep in mind its only open weekdays for breakfast & lunch as it primarily serves the area workers & business park tenants.

Kyosho

High quality Japanese restaurant. Small but good ambience, decorations and great food. We tried the six course omakase for $80 dollars per person. A glass of daijinju sake accommodated which would add the extra half star if I can give it. First course was the wagyu beef warp with lobster, uni and Roe. Second course was the Alaskan sea cucumber soup cooked with fresh fish for six hours according to our waitress. It was absolutely delicious. Third course was the blue fin toro.... That melt in your mouth. And Japanese snapper sashimi was really fresh. Then came the hokaido scallop fan and shrimp tempura with some special house sauce that was uniquely tasty. Fifth course was the eel over rice with miso soup followed by green tea cake. Our waitresses were thorough in explaining each course and told us the omakase menu changes every month. Im already looking forward to next month. Highly recommended.

I dont want to give a low rating because I know times are tough, but the food here is terrrrrrrible! We ordered at steak burrito and a chicken quesadilla. The burrito was overly filled with undercooked pinto beans and hard rice. There was some little meat pieces if you look for them and a few strands of lettuce. The burrito was dry and crunchy, not good and would never recommend to even my enemy. The chicken quesadilla was cooked in a stenchy old oil and the whole togo box was drenched in the orange oil. Got all over the bag and table, nasty. Old oil is smelly, which this was.Id never visit this restaurant and would never recommend to anyone. Im not sure why they have so many good reviews... I would give 1-star if I could without feeling bad.

Cooks Seafood

Very good sea good and restaurant too. I got chopino soup and a crab salat. It was my first time trying both and i can say it tasted delicious and was very fresh and well prepared. The combination of a restaurant a and a fresh sea food market is very cool. Need to go try the fish and chips still, which i will do since i liked it there. Also, people inside were very friendly and wanted to make sure i am getting good piece of fish i came there for.Next time wanna grab king salmon, halibut, oysters and lobster. They said they dont have king crab these days, maybe next year.Enough parking space and easy to drive to.I recommend this place both to source ur fresh sea food ingredients and to drop by and have ready made meals. Thanks! Comming back

Flea Street
3607 Alameda de las Pulgas, Menlo Park, CA 94025, United States
We really enjoyed our experience at Flea Street! We were looking for a restaurant for a last minute date night and we were delighted that Flea Street is down the street from us. They had a late reservation that didnt really work with our timing so we chose to sit at the bar, which was even more perfect. The actual restaurant was a little noisy for us. We enjoyed delicious cocktails, wine, and the food, wow the food! Sunchoke soup, steak tartare, beef ribs that melted in our mouth. Everything was delicious! We loved our bartender too! He was welcoming, attentive, and took great care of us.

This used to be a great hotel. I've stayed here many times over the past few years and always had a great experience. And I completely understand the challenges facing the workers in the hospitality industry, and want to clearly state here that each and every employee here has been attentive, respectful, and genuinely dedicated to customer service. I do take great exception however with management and ownership of this property, who have allowed this to fall below any semblance of an acceptable accommodation, even for a property with a lesser reputation to uphold. Critical business video calls were repeatedly disrupted throughout my stay by completely unacceptably poor WiFi, which finally, after the 3rd instance of reaching out to staff to report, I was told that it simply doesn't work well in certain rooms. Though despite the hotel being less than half full, they still chose to put people in said rooms. Fix this. It's that simple. This is Silicon Valley. Pay to resolve WiFi issues so that every room is covered (like every other hotel I've ever stayed at for the past decade). Numerous other things in the room were malfunctioning/in disrepair. I'll refrain from a litany of other issues, especially those which simply reflect an understaffed, overworked situation, which is understandably linked to pandemic issues. But I place the responsibility squarely on the shoulders of Mgmt, and until that changes, I will find somewhere else to stay in the area for the foreseeable future. Sad to see a great property sink to such depths.

Burma Love - Menlo Park
1302 El Camino Real, Menlo Park, CA 94025, United States
We really enjoyed the dining experience here. The food was delicious, a little exotic, and elegantly presented. The service was attentive in a classy and elegant setting. We picked this place from three Restaurant Week participants, we get a set menu with choices of cocktails, appetizer/salad, main course, and dessert.Everything was tasty, the most enjoyable dish was the Mohinga, the National Dish of South Burma. Essentially, it’s noodles in fish sauce, the noodles were al dente, the thick soup was flavorful with a hint of spice that grows on you.
