Olive Garden Italian Restaurant
2200 Plaza Pkwy, Modesto, CA 95350, United States
I ordered the chicken Alfredo and I think a kale and potato soup. It was really good! Chill environment. They sang someone happy birthday which I was pleased by cause a lot of restaurants stopped doing that.. My daughter ordered Mac n Cheese, and she didnt seem to like it. And Ill just say she typically loves mac n cheese. ?♀️The waitresses were very sweet. They didnt overcrowd us but definitely were there if we needed something. And what I ordered was responsibly priced. And, for me, there was a lot of food! I had the left overs for a good minute. :)All in all it was a good experience, Im glad I was able to go while on my visit here in California.

The staff was friendly and inviting. The restaurant was clean and easy to acess. We got the pick 2 which was perfect because you can pick 2 different items on the menu. It was cold and rainy, so my bestie got the creamy chicken and rice soup and sandwhich, and I got a hot sandwhich with creamy, cheesy, Mac and cheese topped with crumbled crispy bacon. The fresh baked bread is a perfect touch that is light and airy, slightly crispy and toasted just right. The meals even came with sides of chips, an apple or a banquet. They even had several wonderful dessert options. I went with a giant, thick, chewy, Chocolate Chip cookie! The cashier even provided us with a 50% off coupon. Win win!

I finally don’t have to go over the Altamount for some hotpot! Great selection of meat, sauces and soup base. Clean restaurant and friendly and fast service. The decor is cool and the meat comes to your table on a train! Great dining experience. I got the Hawaiian curry base and it was delicious cooking my beef with it. ? ?

Just had dinner at this restaurant, and everything was so perfect! ? We were celebrating my sisters graduation, so we had the tables, and the owner stopped by and said we were the first big group to dine there! He gave us some edamame on the house! Lucky us! ? Our server Jenesis was very attentive to our needs and offered recommendations and gave us updates when the food was coming as well! I had the steak hibachi dinner combo with the chicken soup and salad. It was so good that I forgot to take a picture before eating it ?? Would tell friends and family that this spot! I will definitely be coming back in the future! ?
Brighter Side
1125 K St, Modesto, CA 95354, United States
WARNING: CASH ONLY.Oh my gosh, what can I say about this place? Its so unique and neat. You go through one side of the building to order, which isnt much to look at, and then you go to the other side of the building to pay, pick up your order, and eat. It looks like a huge converted barn with a tin roof and lots of foliage and vintage decor. Reminds me of the 60s, very natural and earthy. A hippies dream. Unlike any restaurant Ive ever been in. Very rustic. There is a patio as well for outdoor dining. I always say I would love to eat there on a rainy day to hear the rain drops hit the tin roof, but I have yet to do so. Moderately priced, decent sandwiches. Second on my list of sandwich shops next to The Sandwich Shop. Very relaxing atmosphere, always a crowd at lunchtime, but they are super fast and very friendly. Just dont forget to BRING CASH.
Picassos Gourmet Deli

So heres the thing... this was my first time coming into the restaurant and have always been nervous to try their food. I was offered a sample of their tomato pesto soup and was so taken with the flavor that I completely forgot to take pictures of the food! You guys have gotta try their food. I ordered the Pablo Picasso (Turkey, bacon, tomato on ciabatta). It was absolutely delicious.

Palermo Restaurant Italian Cucina
310 H St, Modesto, CA 95351, United States
Very romantic music played over the stereo our entire stay. The atmosphere was very much the same. It felt like a romantic evening. Despite that it was also very casual. Also had a bit of the mobster back alley Italiano restaraunt where you feel like it is almost a front for the mob. Lol jkFood was exceptional. The bread and balsamic vinaigrette and seasoning brought to the table was very delicious.Later we had ordered bruschetta which had tons of diced tomatoes and parmasan cheese which we drizzled the balsamic vinaigrette onto which made them even more delicious. She ended up getting pesto ravioli and I got Pollo Jerusalem. Which was chicken, mashed potatoes, artichoke hearts, garlic, green onions and mushrooms with a white wine cream sauce. Both tasted delicious. They were also very accommodating to saute my mushrooms separately with balsamic vinaigrette. I added a bit more but it really didnt need it, I just really like balsamic vinegar.Service was very prompt and very friendly. We were checked on and also given plenty of time to ourselves so that we could stare and smile at each other, hold hands etc. Food was brought out faster than we were expecting and was very fresh. Surprisingly parking was very plentiful for such a small restaraunt, very nice!Definitely would like to go back again sometime. Not in the best neighborhood though. I would say definitely make sure your vehicle and valuables are kept safe while youre there. Very happy with my visit though.
