Seoul Tofu House
10201 Reseda Blvd # 104, Northridge, CA 91324, United States
Even though its in a food court, it has that vibe of an old school restaurant behind the counter. Pleasantly surprised by the BBQ offerings! Much better than GEN a couple doors down. Flavor was great and quality was good for the price. Sundubu jjigae was okay. It doesnt compare to anything in K-Town (or even the similarly named Seoul Tofu on the westside) but it wasnt bad.

During my recent visit to the Northridge Csun Waba Grill, I had the pleasure of being served by Emily, who truly made my dining experience unforgettable. From the moment I walked in, Emily greeted me with a warm and welcoming smile, making me feel right at home. What stood out to me the most was her extensive knowledge of the menu. She was incredibly insightful, providing detailed explanations of the dishes, which made it so much easier for me to make a decision. Not only was Emily knowledgeable, but her recommendations were spot on. She suggested a few of her favorites, and I decided to give them a try. I was absolutely delighted with my choices; the flavors were exceptional, and I could tell that her suggestions were made with my preferences in mind. Its not often you come across someone who takes the time to deliver such personalized service. I'll be coming back for sure!
Bophago
9135-A Reseda Blvd, Northridge, CA 91324, United States
Bop Ha Go translates to rice and more which ex exactly what this place is! Cute little shop with a few tables inside but their food is so much fun and has a lot of flavor. Each item ranges from about $2-$6 and you order each item individually.I got the ramen (mild), crab meat triangle rice, garlic butter shrimp, bulgogi (beef) and teriyaki chicken. My friend got one of their shaved ices for dessert and they are huge. The garlic shrimp was a little to garlicky for my liking but everything else was delicious. The shaved ices are definitely big enough to share with another person. The triangle rices come with a large piece of seaweed which you wrap to close almost like a sandwich. I didn't know what to do at first but they had a video inside showing how to do it which was helpful.I love the decorations inside this place as well. And they have a tv playing K Pop music. What more could you ask for! They opened about 6/7 months ago. Large parking lot located with other stores and restaurants. Can't wait to come back and try new stuff.
Leos Superfood Vegan Cafe
8262 Louise Ave, Northridge, CA 91325, United States
It’s always an exciting and disorienting experience as a vegetarian to be at a place where you can order everything on the menu, no questions asked. Throw in a gluten free member of the party who also can eat absolutely everything off the menu and we have the makings of some real excitement. Leo’s Superfood Bakery & Deli offers up exactly that…it’s an all vegan, all gluten free establishment where you can basically eat anything you want!A party of four of us, including two people who were dairy free and gluten free, a kid who is picky, and a lacto-ovo vegetarian (that’s me) were all present. I had the Southwestern Veggie Skillet. (seasoned tofu “eggs” and veggies over a bed of potatoes). I thought it was pretty tasty and filling though a bit salty for my tastes. My wife ha the Pesto Tofu Scramble over sweet potato hash. She thought it all went well together, but was also a little over salted. She thought this would be good as a wrap (which is one of the ways it is offered.)The third person in our party had the Breakfast Muffin with no bread (even though gluten free was available.) She had it over potatoes instead of as a sandwich and she really liked the tofu “fried egg”. The vegan cheese had the consistency of cooked egg white...tasty fried eggy. Our kid had a simpler version of the Black Bean Burrito listed on the menu…no cheese with a little Pico de Gallo. The tortilla was not quite large enough to fully wrap the contents so it was served as kind of a really large soft taco. The tortilla was gluten free and our kid couldn’t tell.As long as we were there and given that there were desserts to try…we tried them…a sampling of their donuts and brownies. Their donuts were akin to cake donuts but much denser and given to us cold out of the refrigerated cabinet. We thought they might have been better room temperature. They’re sweetened with coconut sugar (Which is great for folks who are avoiding conventional sugars.) Some at the table loved it all but the two of us eaters of non gluten-free stuff thought they were a little lacking. We were the only people in the restaurant when we arrived…the seating area is small and only one person was working…it took a long time for our food to come and we can only imagine what it would have been like if more people had shown up to order food for there or to go.We generally joined the food and my wife has been pining to go back to try the gluten-free pancakes so it seems that a return is inevitable.
Futaba
18429 Nordhoff St Ste. D, Northridge, CA 91325, United States
I visited Futaba for my first time about 2 weeks ago because my friends wouldn't stop raving about it. Let me start by saying that if you have any sort of dietary restriction, avoid this place at all costs. They don't care at all.I ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen with chicken broth instead of pork and clearly told my server that I didn't want chashu in my ramen because of my dietary restriction. As I'm eating my food, what do I find in my food buried under some noodles and broth? You guessed it - the chashu I specified not to include.I was annoyed, but mistakes happen. My server apologized and said that she'll have a new one made for me. I reluctantly agreed. When I got my “new” bowl of ramen, I noticed that there was a piece of a bamboo shoot that I had taken a bite out of from my previous bowl that was still in the “new” one, confirming that all they did was take the chashu out of the broth and add a little more soup/noodles to it to make it look like it was remade.Even after this incident, the server had the audacity to offer to remake it again. I told her to take my order off the bill because there was no way in hell that I was going to pay for dishonesty. One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. I will never be returning.TLDR: Dishonest establishment and mid food. If you have any sort of dietary restriction, don't come here. Even if you don't, there are plenty of better ramen spots in the valley and beyond.
Bun Me
9420 Reseda Blvd #5, Northridge, CA 91324, United States
The best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had. I haven’t tried anything from Bun Me that I didn’t like. My go to order is the chicken rice plate and tofu summer rolls. Other notable mentions include tofu rice plate, tofu vermicelli plate, tofu bun me, and anything beef or pork.Their portion sizes are also very generous and you won’t finish your meal and still be hungry. They also have great boba but if you come later in the day they might be sold out. Their customer service is also amazing and this is truly a family restaurant. I’ve been coming here for years and they’ve always been extremely kind and remember my family and I.There is a parking lot with plenty of spaces. I don’t think they have a public restroom but don’t let that deter you as there is a Starbucks with a restroom in the same center.
Bounce Boba Lounge
9545 Reseda Blvd #17, Northridge, CA 91324, United States
This a great place to hang out and catch up with friends. It is one of the good boba places in the SF Valley. My favorite drink here is the Almond Milk Tea Boba. So delicious! I also like to add egg pudding/custard sometimes. They also have great little snacks. I like getting the combo because you can get two portions plus get a free regular sized boba as well. (Drinks that dont qualify for free are 50% off) I like their popcorn chicken a lot. I have also tried their squid balls and thought they were good. Be careful when ordering spicy.I always get my food spicy everywhere I go or even very spicy, but they actually make their stuff here pretty spicy! My squid balls were actually a lot spicer than I thought they would be, but they were delicious nonetheless! They also have little games you can play such as Jenga and some card games. Wifi is free as well. There are a good amount of tables as well as comfy furniture to sit on. Great music. A nice and fun place to hang out with good company. Kickin Kasian is next door so a lot of people like to eat there and get their dessert here afterwards.
Humble Bee Bakery & Cafe
17321 Saticoy St, Northridge, CA 91325, United States
The restaurant itself is really cute. I had the tofu scramble and latte made with soy. The scramble was okay, not much to say about it. They dont have vegan cheese either which is always a bummer. They charge $1 for soy or almond milk too which was another bummer. Unfortunately, would not recommend.
Chis Chinese Cuisine
9635 Reseda Blvd, Northridge, CA 91324, United States
We hadnt been to Chis for about 4 years and forgot about why. We were feeling too lazy to go out for dinner so hey we thought, lets order take-out Chinese from Chis! So we did. We ate at home, it was decent enough, we watched a little TV then hit the sack. About 2am this morning I woke up with an intolerable raging headache. I felt like my head was going to explode and the back of my neck ached so bad I had to wake my husband up to help me by massaging my neck to alleviate the horrific pain I had. I was miserable! Now its 9am in the morning and I am still with a bad throbbing headache and probably could throw up if I leaned over the toilet for 30 seconds. Now HE has a headache too. We both have taken two Bayer Aspirin hoping that our day can be a good one, we figured out why we hadnt been to Chis in all this time. WE THINK they put in a grip of MSG in their food because something made us real sick eating from that restaurant! MSG is awful, NOT necessary, poison to the body-LOOK IT UP (its a flavor enhancer) and many people really have these bad reactions to it, like we did. They may deny it (no one will ever know) but I dont need to say that we will NEVER EVER EVER-EVER-Ever dine from that place again~!!!!! EATER BEWARE~!!! This place made us feel miserable!
