Taco Bell
8330 Paradise Valley Rd, Spring Valley, CA 91977, United States
THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER EXPERIENCE IN MY WHOLE LIFE! It was a couple nights ago.. They are rude, I had a large order, one which was 8 crunch wrap supremes which after paying they tell me they don't have them.. and politely asked if we wanted something similar we said sure! they replaced it with a 2 dollar wrap which was od, I had payed way more than what I got.. I've asked for a refund and if they could charge me for the wraps instead.. the employee wasn't understanding our complain. We asked for the Manager, as if she was going to be even nicer!! SHE RUDELY offered me cookies to make up the replacements. If you guys only knew how rude it was. We denied. We just wanted a new receipt and a refund to pay for the wrap cause the bill for the supreme was expensive. After seeing us frustrated. They asked for the food back and said they will refund it and after saying i was going to pay for the new wraps, they threw it away in front of my face.. meanest attitude ever! I told the manager why did you guys do that? She said “I refunded your order and threw the food. I offered you cookies but you didn't want them, you can go now” slamming the window and locking it. Just rude and unprofessional restaurant. I've been coming there for years and familiar to the works at night.. they suck! never had this happen before, I would give this Taco Bell a 0 star if I can.
Little Thai Kitchen
2533 Folex Way Suite.A, Spring Valley, CA 91978, United States
I Came. I Saw. I Ate.TLDR: Worth a try for Thai food lovers and the curious out there, but nothing that outdoes all other thai food--------Just opened today and i must say i hope they are here to stay. Was better than most Thai around here and the specials are a reasonable price. Hopefully they can keep this impetus of fair quality at a reasonable price while having a modest but presentable dining area. Staff are nice and are eager to express appreciation for your patronage, and restrooms were clean albeit a little rank. I think thats the fault of the plumbing. Now on to the food review...Thai food is known for its spicy, sweet, and savory flavors and it delivers on all aspects, though Spice Lords may not find a challenge here. Also, something to know is that if your thai food tastes a little bit different its not because oh, they dont make it right here!; Thai food is incredibly diverse within its own genre and theres many ways to play off the base ingredients. If you dont like the taste despite it being made well, though not how you normally like it, then just get it somewhere else! Its that simple. Sampling the most well known entrees via lunch special- Shrimp Pad Thai, Shrimp Tom Yum, Chicken Tom Kha, and Red Curry -I can say this about their flavor: All were very good for the price, though i was mildly disappointed with the viscosity of the curry. I blame it on the container for not letting it breathe and become the more or less sauce-like consistency Ive frequently had. It was more like a soup, but again thats mostly up to preference, and the flavor was good! Also, the pork meat in the curry was was nothing to write home about. It basically did its job and thats it, but youre also not paying the prices for extravagant cuts of pork. Another thing for those who do appreciate authentic garnishes. There was no fish sauce, crushed or powdered peanuts, or chili oil to put atop my Pad Thai. No question from the staff if I wanted them included either. It doesnt lose them any credit on the score, but those do a lot for customers who enjoy those garnishes. Its understandable that these requests may be out there for the average American customer, and therefore not readily included or mentioned. Last, but not least- the Thai Tea was good, but nothing outstanding from other places. In conclusion: quite good; hope it only gets better from here, and hope it sticks around. Spring Valley NEEDS places like this and other cultured restaurants to get it out of the hick in the stick, Emerald Ghetto border town of San Diego label. Thai Kitchen, youre fighting an uphill battle my friend. Hope you succeed.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!I cannot say enough good things about Hector and his crew. We decided to make our wedding rehearsal celebration just like a typical San Diego weekend day for us, fish tacos and craft beer! We looked around at the typical restaurants that cater and they would only provide pre-made taco platter. (While I am sure they are excellent, it wasnt what we were looking for). This is when we found Hector and his crew at Casanovas Fish Tacos. We wanted to test him out and we met up with Hector at a pop-up restaurant raising money for the LGBT community. So we stopped by and met Hector, we treated us to some amazing tacos, we had 2 tacos each, and we were stuffed. These are not small street taco size, these are very nice sized with fish or shrimp as the star, not a ton of cabbage. The salsa and creme sauces worked so well together! All of this happened right in front of us, and two mins later we were splitting a third taco because despite being full we could not say no. We instantly knew that this was what we were looking for! Fresh ingredients, prepared on-site, really authentic flavors, a great representation of Baja style fish tacos! We confirmed our spot with a handshake, Hector then followed up regularly to confirm if we had any dietary restrictions, guest count and final menu. He met us day of the event ( he was early!) and set up very quickly. After dodging a few rain showers we started serving our guest, baja fish tacos, chipotle fish tacos, marinated ancho chill beef tacos, grilled eggplant, and fresh shrimp ceviche. Everyone raved about how cool it was, most of our guests were from out of town so fresh baja style fish tacos were a fairly novel idea. Hector and his team ABSOLUTELY KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK!!! My parents were so happy to be able to provide all of our guest with such an authentic San Diego experience! Huge thanks to Hector!! We RECOMMEND HIM HIGHLY!! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!
Gulartes Pizza & Deli

I've been coming here for 10+ yrs. I would give it a 5 but unfortunately the main owners have hired girls who can't seem to get my sandwich right..., like 20% of the time it's right. Finally complained after this has happened numerous times. I was offered 2 free sandwiches. Nice but they have messed up like 8 of my sandwiches in the past 3 months.Went to get my free sandwich and was told it was 2 half's; whatever right??♀️.Then they messed my sandwich up again left off peppers and pickles. Then they were passive aggressive when I asked for the sides of produce they left off. So frustrating. Use to be my go to . Not anymore. Total BS. And rude girls !!
La Copine
848 Old Woman Springs Rd, Yucca Valley, CA 92284, United States
RUDE STAFF, TERRIBLE SERVICEI almost never post reviews. But I'm making an exception for La Copine because it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a restaurant. This isn't a complaint about the food - which is supposed to be good - but the service. We'd booked here a long time ago because it was recommended by friends. Our table was at 2pm and we arrived on time. There was a queue to be “checked in” and we were seen by the maitre d' about 10 minutes later (no apology for keeping us waiting).Even though there were empty tables available, she told us that we had to continue to wait to be seated because the kitchen were “too busy” for guests even to *sit down*. So we stood there in the sun, with our two small children. This was fine for a bit, but after 20 minutes my wife asked the male front of house person if we could sit down. No, we were told. It's our policy. When we question this, telling him that we don't mind waiting but we'd really appreciate sitting at an empty table (half an hour after our reservation - not a massive imposition, surely?).And then the front of house guy *immediately* gets defensive and shirty, telling us that if we don't like it “we don't have to eat here”. He threatens to get the owner. “You're lucky you're dealing with me,” he says, angrily. “I'm the nice one”.Sorry, but WHAT? What does he mean?Eventually he marches into the restaurant, and brings back the owner. She isn't apologetic AT ALL. “I hear you have some problem with how we run the restaurant,” she says. Then she repeats the line: “you don't have to eat here if you don't want to”.So….we don't. We walk away. Here's the thing. We completely get that restaurants can be booked up. We wouldn't have minded waiting at a table. In fact, if someone had been polite to us we would have been OK standing in the sun for some more time. But the attitude of the staff at La Copine is basically: “you're lucky to be here”. Both the owner and staff treat customers like they're doing us a favour even serving us. When a restaurant is run well, it's a beautiful thing, with respect on both sides. But this place….not so much.So it depends. If you're really keen on the food then give it a go (even though it's expensive and literally by a main road: don't come here for a good view). If good service is important to you, however, then definitely give this place a miss.TLDR: Don't go here unless you're prepared to stand up for up to an hour, and put up with rude, aggressive and patronising staff.
Giant Rock Meeting Room
1131 Old Woman Springs Rd, Yucca Valley, CA 92284, United States
I just got back to our apartment and I had to write this review immediately.Very important premise: we are Italian.I am allergic to dairy and have become accustomed to eating pizza at home cheese-free and accepting it.We walked into Giant Rock Meeting Room not really knowing what food to expect as we're staying nearby and we were too tired to drive anywhere. When we saw pizza on the menu we got that instantaneous Italian-eating-abroad fear of what we'd be served, but as soon as a server brought a nearby table a pizza we were smitted by its looks. We would have never imagined being smitten by its taste as well.Food review:- I got a dairy-free variation of the pizza with apples and honey. I was amazed by the dough's perfect consistency, the crunchiness, the balance in flavours, the delicate taste of the vegan cheese. I wish I had this pizza at home, I would order/eat here once a week.- My partner went a little American and got a pepperoni pizza (yep- you won't find that at home). He devoured the whole thing only dabbing a slice at the very end when his stomach didn't have place for the (limited) amount of grease. He said it was delicious - I wish I could review but he opted for real cheese so I had to avoid it (I ate his crusts though - that's how good it was).I am not kidding this place is fantastic. To all my Italian tourists in the area craving a GREAT pizza, venite qui!I got the Chipotle cocktail and it was so well balanced, exciting, yummy.Amazing atmosphere- it's a pizzeria+gallery. Loved the trinkets, artwork, vintage pieces.100% would recommend - PLEASE TRUST US!!!Ps. we spoke to the owner - place USED TO be a coffee shop so don't get confused by older pictures/reviews!

La Posta De Acapulco
9914 Campo Rd, Spring Valley, CA 91977, United States
Best taco shop in Casa. The service here is leagues better than what you get with the sullen cashier at Saritas. Of course, you can hardly blame Saritas employees, as its always a jungle in there. Drunks, highschoolers, drunk highschoolers--just go to La Posta and avoid the mess. The guys at La Posta are always friendly, even the cooks when they occasionally have to ring someone up.The food is always great, too. Tacos, burritos, chimichangas, enchiladas and more are all worthy of being served in a much fancier setting and with a higher price tag. Theyre liberal with the sour cream, guacamole, and hot sauce, a nice departure from other penny-pinching establishments. Youll even get chips and salsa while you wait for your order, if youre dining in. Ive not had a bad thing there, so I recommend you just get what looks good!Definitely give it a try some time. You can find good food at any of the taco shops in Casa--youve gotta be pretty dumb to make a bad taco--but unless its 3am and I dont have the option, Im going to La Posta.
Ranas

The café itself is clean, the waiter was very friendly and nice. the reason for the low rating was the food...... I have been to this restaurant many times, and I have to say it has never been like this... I dont know if the problem was with the cook that day, or not, but this past Sunday was NOT the best time to go there.I ordered one of the specials of the day they had listed... DIABLO SHRIMP ? this is one of my personal favorites.... I can tell you that the diablo part of the recipe was very good. the primary chile used in the sauce appeared to be chile arbol and believe me it was...however the shrimp ? were absolutely, and so viciously cooked, that they were not even close to being edible. chewy, rubbery, no flavor at all... totally shameful and paying $20. for the plate really hurt. I did mention to the server that the cook needs to try the shrimp on my plate to understand how poorly it was prepared. I paid the bill, and I tipped the waiter as I normally would, but I wish I could have talked to a person in charge in hopes that I could help to remedy this problem. I am not going to say that I will never go back, but I will say that I will not order anything that has shrimp...
Pho And Grill International
9676 Campo Rd, Spring Valley, CA 91977, United States
Sundays at a Vietnamese Pho place are a gentle mix of families coming in after church, couples who just got back from a day of hitting markets and people hungover from the night before. I'll let you guess which demographic I belong to on my recent visit.Parking a plenty, nice large sign, freshly paved parking lot too. They have lime plants as their landscaping, kinda cool.I already know I want pho and a bahn mi or pho and an appetizer or pho and a rice dish, oh and a thai tea. I wasn't ready for a Vietnamese coffee.Décor is nice, music not too loud, not quite loud enough to drawn out the 2 annoyed groups of female guests yacking on about some 20 year old first world problems. We are brought 2 glasses of half-filled water and lemons. Combo #1 Large pho with egg noodles, no flank, extra tripe. I was thankful this includes a meatball because how could any combo not. Softshell crab but topped with “salt” & pepper. I think you know why I singled out the salt here. The softshell crab already has a dipping sauce which was actually quite good and probably all you would need, but I always have to be difficult. Decent crunch, but I wasn't a huge fan of it being broken up. A proper crab should be cooked whole. Lemongrass chicken was all onions, barely sautéed, the timing on ingredients is key when doing chicken and onions. The sauce was more hoisin-y and the chicken as dry. The heat level 9 was a 3, all pepper, rice was dry, like super dry. I'd hope by noon on a Sunday the rice would be on its 2nd batch, but probably was from the night before, no way rice dries that fast made that day, unless the cooker was left open. Bahn mi was a little expensive, but look good. They need to address their service as the owner? who took my order was great, but the 2nd employee not food running was rarely seen, not looking after tables whatsoever, sloppy on the thai tea fill and missed the “no boba” part of the order. I'll definitely come back again, but have much lower expectations of service. Every table had no/low water and had to make multiple requests for it. Prices are decent and I am a fan of the stand-alone location as it gives them better lighting. I don't recall seeing a fish tank which is almost religion for a Vietnamese restaurant.
