POKE POKE BAR & Juices
6424 Platt Ave, West Hills, CA 91307, United States
Yes!Its fresh, quality food at an affordable price.Great, casual, t shirt and jeans spot for a date, families, tourists, work lunch, etc. When you walk in, right off the back, everything is extremely well taken care of. The place is spotless, tables and chairs neatly placed. You get a sense of how structured and organized it is.On this occasion, I was greeted by the two kids working behind the counter with a smile and a hello. Bonus points there. They were really friendly at walking me through the ordering procedure. And it is pretty simple once you place your first order. Theyll walk you through the process.I highly recommend the Hawaiian tuna and the regular tuna. But the salmon is also fresh as well! Cant go wrong there either. An oddball was the scallops marinated in mayonnaise. Maybe a little too much mayonnaise, management if youre paying attention. But worth a shot as one of your proteins if you want to try something different.I still give this place, the service come of the food 5 stars. The only thing that I would like to see changed is the 50 Cent extra charge for the eel sauce. I mean come on come on? 50 cents? I guess it is what it is. But it would be nice if it was included as one of the normal sauces offered had no extra charge.Just to quickly summarize the food here. Its delicious! Its everything you expect in a poke Bowl. I think the real value is getting the monster size, where you get to pick five proteins. The serving size of each spoonful is definitely more than what you get at other places. Also, I went with the brown rice this time, and it was extremely well made. Nice chew to it, not overcooked, not salty at all. It tasted magnificent with a nice nutty flavor against the fresh Hawaiian tuna, and all the other toppings I threw on my order. The edamame is fresh, brightly colored, the seaweed salad wasnt too overly sweet, and I have to highlight the Masago and Ginger being brite, fresh and tasty.Parking: piece of cake, especially on a afternoon. Lots of free parking all around.Just keep an eye out for an occasional homeless guy walking through. Where dont you find the homeless these days, right? When I come here late at night, probably not. Just because of that one homeless person, or two. But during the day, mid-morning through about early afternoon, you should be fine. The only other odd thing about this place is that it faces due west. So in the late afternoon, that sun is so strong about an hour or two before sunset. So eating outside can get interesting if you dont mind being in direct sunlight. There are no umbrellas, very little shade at all.I will definitely be back here. One main thing I would love to see happen is if this place opened up a second location, or moved entirely to maybe a different spot like at the commons, the Topanga social, or maybe the Topanga village. But they have to keep the prices as is.In summary, what makes this place great is that its good quality food, made to order, at an affordable price. If the pricing goes up, you lose the essence of what this place is.

West Hills Pizza Company

Too bad this place has people working there who are very petty quite frankly. I ordered 3 pizzas for delivery because I had some company over at my house. Turns out 3 pizzas was a bit too much and I called back about 3-5 minutes after I put my order to cancel just one of the pizzas (considering I was going to spend $73 on 2 extra large and one medium pizzas, I found that the medium was a bit too much). The guy who answered the phone was clearly upset that I wanted to cancel that one pizza from my order saying he already had 2 of the pizzas in the oven and one was prepared (all that in That short amount of time one could think the flash was making pizzas at this place and had a tortoise delivering them since they where going to take anywhere between 45 to 60 minutes delivered to my house, nevermind I am literally 2 minutes away from this place). So, after I cancelled that one pizza, the delivery time was now going to be one hour and 30 minutes, and I could literally hear him yell and complain as he was hanging up. I played along and told him it was ok.The guy calls me right back telling me he didnt like the idea of him having to eat a pizza because I cancelled it, and that he was going to have to cancel the whole order and re start it again. I told him to go ahead and just cancel the whole thing.I was a regular customer at this place spending a pretty penny quite often, and now this place will loose business over loosing a bit of pizza though and a couple of toppings. This is the type of pathetic attitude that kills businesses.Quite a shame really.
Sprouts Farmers Market
6607 Fallbrook Ave, West Hills, CA 91307, United States
Biggest bunch of jerks work there. So Im guessing management is the same way since all the employees are awful and unfriendly...The first time I went in the deli counter guy and his friends were all talking, taking his time cutting up meat sooooo slow I was there like 10 mins..theres no one in line but me..Im standing there by myself...he then says ooo I almost didnt see you everyone found that funny...so he made fun of my height...he hands me my meat and the wrong amount.. I dont realize its wrong till I get home the next day when I went to make lunchs so threw that out. ? Very angry..then I go back in 1 month later again the deli counter again, get the sushi guy hes looking down I ask him if I can throw my candy wrapper away..he points to the counter like here..never looks at me I stand there like your kidding me right? So now Im bugging him?..he never looks up till I walk away and made a comment to my husband what an donkey he was..so today I go in theres a guy putting eggs away he has a huge cart full hes scanning away but has on a black jacket and black shirt not green so I ask him do you work here he couldve been a vendor idk? He says no Im just scanning these for nothing..never looks up just keeps scanning I ask wheres the cheese..he tells me never looks up..when he finally does I gave him a dirty look..theres a Trader Joes and Ralphs both are want nothing more than your business. This isnt just today this has been a span over 7 months.. so they are just rude.
Calif Chicken Cafe
9045 Topanga Canyon Blvd, West Hills, CA 91304, United States
CCC is incredible. One of my all time favorite- could eat here EVERYDAY- restaurants. It can be really quick, with a phone order... Or a casual eat-in restaurant. This particular location is cute as hell, super modern, crazy inviting and HUGE. If I had to guess, Id say biggest location (and certainly best vibes) so far. Parking........ Not so much. Turns out, everyone loves this place. So plan ahead, or street park. Theres plenty. Ps. Dont let the chicken name scare you off. Theres plenty of delicious vegetarian options that are sure to please. Definitely try the balsamic dressing...... Youll fall in LOVE.

Probably never coming back here again! Please see the photos I posted for evidence. What happened to the quality of food at this place in the last month, from late August 2020 to mid-october 2020?If you asked me in August 2020, I would have given this place 4 stars, barely, for Lunch. But for some reason now, coming at Dinner time on October 2020, the quality of their food has gone downhill dramatically.First of all, theyre sad excuse for a spring roll is basically 90% lettuce, with three SLICES of shrimp on top. They dont even give you full shrimp! They take the shrimp and cut it in half, so basically youre only getting one and a half shrimp per spring roll.Wheres the carrots, wheres the stuff that usually goes in a spring roll? Instead, you get a bunch of romaine lettuce green leafy parts at the very end, that nobody usually eats anyway. And dont even get me started on # 50, which is described as stir-fried beef with lemongrass, rice vermicelli and vegetables. False advertising!Instead, I ordered number 50 from the menu, and got 80% sliced chicken, and 20% sliced beef. The vegetables were okay. The Taste was very sweet, like too sweet, but had NO lemongrass flavor whatsoever. I think thats misleading, and Im not afraid to say so.Whoever is reading this from their ownership or management team should take note!Im sorry, Im going to have to take my business somewhere else for good.
Platt Village
Platt Ave, West Hills, CA 91307, United States
I cannot speak on parking because we took an Lyft. But this location is beautifully constructed. And the shops and restaurants are prime choices. Good options were seafood, vegetarian, steakhouse, Asian cuisine asweets and ice cream shop and more. There are nicknack shops, furniture stores and clothing (of course). I especially like that its a village walk for all ages. With water attractions, a stunning climbing structure and reading nooks this place couldnt get much better.

Stonefire Grill
6405 Fallbrook Ave, West Hills, CA 91307, United States
Horrible curbside service. I placed an order online and arrived earlier than the time stated so I knew I had to wait a bit. When I parked a young lady came up and asked for my name. She went inside, came back outside but never came back to my car to update me or check in again. I had my two toddlers in the car with me and one was thirsty, so I exited my car to ask one of the employees for a water. She said of course, but as I walked back to my car she waited a few minutes before heading inside to get the water. Nonetheless she finally came back with the water. We waited for another 10mins, still no food. At this point itapast my pickup time and other customers have come a d go e with their orders. I exited my car again and inquired about my order. A different young lady asked me for my name and headed inside to inquire about the order. When she finally came back out she didnt return to my car. She went to another car that had just pulled up and helped them. At this point Im becoming frustrated and my children are ready to leave. I call the restaurant ask about the status of my order. I was informed I need to ask someone outside. I explained that I already followed those procedures and still had no food. Its now almost 25mins past my pickup time. The lady over the phone said they would send someone to my car, surprise no one came. Once again I got out of my car and stopped one of the serves and asked for my order. She went inside, came back outside, went back in then fi ally returned to me only to tell me I had to wait another 10mins. At this point I want to leave and get refund.my 4yi son is telling me to leave because hes tired and hungry. I call the restaurant again and ask to speak with a manager.themanager tells me that they are running behind with the orders which I can understand but didnt know because of the lack of communication and professionalism. She then tells me that some of the servers are new and dont know how to communicate properly?! Huh?! How is that a valid excuse. I explain to her that anyone can offer an update or say we are running behind maam youre order will be out but to blatantly not interact with a customer is beyond naive employees and lack of experience. I then voice my frustration and she apologizes while make the sa.e excuse of communication. After I make reference that she hasnt even offered a remedy to the situation she says well what am I supposed to do i dont know if youre still here or not. I tell her in still parked because as we are speaking my food arrives almost 30mins late. She then suggests well maybe I can give you a free dessert or something. I say no to the dessert and she hung up on me. I will never patronize this restaurant again. The lack of customer service was appalling. And the manager was rude who hangs up on a customer? And I wasnt being rude or anything to her smh
Numero Uno Tavern
2849, 24335 Victory Blvd C, West Hills, CA 91307, United States
My wife and I had been here last sunday to watch football. We ordered from the football menu but had to wait 30 minutes before the manager and staff realized we had not received our order only to apologize and blame it on the kitchen. When the check initially came, we handed the owner our payment, he returned it adjusting it to include a beer not listed initially. We chalked it up as a misunderstanding, but later thought maybe our server tried to make our experience better by discounting our tab, only to be overruled by the owner...hmmm.Despite this,we decided to revisit them craving wings and a cold beer. The beer was cold.....but the wings were dry and over cooked. We ordered garlic fries that were well fried, but too heavily dressed with pungent out of the jar garlic. We also ordered the sliders which were also cooked to death and almost burned leaving them dry and tasteless. We were initially greeted by the manager on duty who was polite and attentive,we made our drink order..and never saw her again. We were helped from then on by another server who later took 15 min to look up and see we needed the check and never once inquired about anything other than filling our empty beers. Although we disliked the food overall, we managed to finish the wings and most of the fries with the aid of the beer to wash away all the unpleasantness. The sliders were left half uneaten and untouched. When the check came, the items that were ordered in happy hour did not reflect in the price. As we brought it to the servers attention, she replied if you say thats when you ordered it, Ill have the manager (who we thought went home) change it. As she returned with our check, the remaining sliders and fries sat in plain view and we were never asked if wed like to take them home or if we werent pleased.Looking over our adjusted check, we were shocked to see a charge of 2 dollars for not paying with cash. If there was a posted sign on the premises, we must have missed it but were still sort of apalled. As we made our way out deflated, we wondered were the staff dissapeared to. We exited seeing them clamored in a corner away from all the paying customers attending to something far more important than the patrons.Being in the food industry for nearly 50 combined years, my wife and I have learned to take the good with the not so good. This chain has been around for a long time and they need to understand that bar food and bar service is what it is, but your average patron these days is more savvy to food quality and service and experiences like this will effect them adversely in the age of social media and information sharing. So step it up Numero Uno! We dont expect you to be the best, (regardless of your name)but we dont expect you to be the worst!
Chilis Grill & Bar
6775 Fallbrook Ave, West Hills, CA 91307, United States
My wife and I will never be returning to this Chilis location. Andrew the Manager has a horrible disposition and the service is just as bad.We visited this location today 12/21/16 for dinner. We were excited to try the new smokehouse items they have available. It took 15 minutes to actually get our order in because our server just didnt return to take our order and to add insult to injury people that were sat well after we were, not only got their food, they seemed to get much better service than we were receiving. When we finally got our food, it was though it had been sitting for quite sometime and was at best luke warm. It took another 10 minutes for the server to return so that we could have some fresh food brought out. She took our fries and never returned. I had to get up and request a manager to come speak with us. Insert Andrew the rude manager! He approached the table with an attitude and spoke to us with such a condescending tone, and asked if wanted to box our food up that was cold and not very good. Why would we want to take anything home?Andrew was extremely rude and borderline disrespectful telling us we could just get up and go now and blaming the horrible service on the holidays (the restaurant wasnt very busy at all). This is not how you handle a customer complaint and problem. They need to retrain these servers and mangers immediately!
