Hue Oi Vietnamese Cuisine
16537 Brookhurst St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
The best Vietnamese food! Ive eaten at almost every restaurant in the OC and hands down Hue Oi has the best food. Bun Bo Hue is delicious and the broth is extremely rich in flavor. Add their house Sate Chilli sauce to make it even better. Their Banh Beo and Banh Nam are awesome. My wife loves their Pho filet Mignon. Ive been to Hue Oi at least 2x a week in the past month (ever since they moved to Fountain Valley). Cant wait to come back for more!

We were craving bánh bèo! When we crave bánh bèo and have to go out to eat them, that means were lazy! It doesnt mean we can do a better job than the store were going to.Ordered 3 different kinds (from different regions: N, C, & S VN) to share, but they lacked flavor, and the topping (nhân) was extremely skimpy.Died shrimp was used instead of the fresh one, 2 out of the 3 didnt have mung beans. There were more fried/dried/sautéed onions than shrimp, and they didnt even have pork rinds or fat (tóp mỡ).We suppose different regions called for different ingredients, which is okay as long as the 1 main ingredient: shrimps are prepared in an excellent way to satisfy your craving. Sadly, in this case, zero flavors were found. The fish sauce was so watered down that a bit of chili pepper was all that you can taste. Anyone who doesnt make good bánh bèo knows the dipping (fish) sauce would save you. Again, it wasnt the case!Other restaurants charge 1/3 less than this place, we dont mind paying the higher price for good bánh bèo, but we were disappointed, they werent good at all.We hope the comment about drinks below would humor you. For 1 slice of lemon in a cup of water entitled this store charges you $1.95 and calling it a drink is a bit odd to us. Since we were charged for water and a slice of lemon, we asked for a refill just to see how would they handle it. As expected, more water was poured into the same cup without an additional slice of lemon. The $2.95 Coke drink was served with a 12oz Coke can and a disposable cup of ice, which means no refill. We got the message loud and clear! Lol.Good old traditional Vietnamese food made bad just spoiled our day, sssoooooo sad!
Blue Coral - Vietnamese Cuisine

Went here on a Sunday for dinner, wasnt super busy so we were seated right away and got our order in shortly after. The restaurant has a laid back vibe, good music, and the staff were very helpful, offering suggestions and answering my questions.I went with a couple of my Vietnamese friends who recommended this place, and we drove up from Mission Viejo and the food was definitely worth it.We ordered the Soft-shell crab bao as an appetizer which was very good but was a bit different than I had expected. Its like a deconstructed version of the dish, but the soft shell crab was lightly fried and was delicious but my favorite part was the little bun that came with it. Much better than usual bao bun and I wish more places would do it this way.For main dishes my friend and I both ordered the Shaken steak and garlic noodles which was absolutely incredible, the steak was perfectly cooked and so tender and the noodles had a good amount of garlic and wasnt greasy or heavy. Would definitely order that again. It also came with a small serving of salad with a good avocado dressing that I really enjoyed, but my friend didnt so I ate that serving of salad too.My friends also got their stone bowl pho to share which was quite a visually impressive meal, it comes with the stone bowl which keeps the broth boiling lava hot and then has several plates with all the usual pho fixings for you to add to your liking. They both really enjoyed it and I enjoyed the visual aspect of it because it does look stunning similar to like when someone orders fajitas at a restaurant and it catches everyones attention when it comes out.Overall the food was really good, the service was great, and Im really looking forward to going here again to try their Cajun fish platter which sounded amazing.
Brodard Restaurant
16105 Brookhurst St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
A widely popular Vietnamese restaurant in Orange county offering central Vietnamese cuisine. Whenever we come to Orange county, we always stop by one of their two restaurants to stuff ourselves with good Vietnamese food.I really prefer this one in Fountain Valley as it’s more spacious and friendlier staffs. The food seemed to be the same but this one in Fountain Valley has more dessert selections. I love Vietnamese desserts.Since this restaurant serves mostly central Vietnamese cuisine, you wouldn’t expect a great selection of pho here. Normally people come here for their famous Nam( grilled pork), Banh Xeo( sizzling crepe with bean sprouts and shrimps), and Banh Knot ( Shrimp quiche). Of course they do offer many varieties of desserts.Prices are reasonable also. Typical per dish price expected to be below $16. Even noodle shops nowadays would charge more than that for a bowl of pho. Not a lot of noodle selections though. The only noodle I like is their Bun Bo Hue noodle. As this restaurant is in a shopping mall, there are plenty of parkings. With its popularity, you should definitely put yourself on the Yelp waitlist before going to dine at the restaurant.
Pho Hong Long
11035 Warner Ave, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
As a devoted fan of Vietnamese cuisine, Ive had my fair share of pho across various eateries, but Pho Hong Long in Fountain Valley, CA, has captured my heart and taste buds like no other. From the moment you step inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere sets the stage for a truly authentic dining experience. The star of the show is undoubtedly their Pho Dac Biet, a harmonious blend of savory broth, tender meats, and fresh herbs. Each spoonful is a testament to the chefs dedication to quality and consistency. The meatballs are succulent and well-seasoned, complementing the delicate rice noodles perfectly. What sets Pho Hong Long apart is their option to add eggs on the side. Its a game-changer, adding a rich and creamy texture that elevates the dish to new heights. The eggs are cooked just right, with a slightly runny yolk that melds into the broth, creating a luxurious and comforting meal. The consistency of their pho is remarkable. Every visit reaffirms my belief that they have mastered the art of pho-making. The balance of spices, the clarity of the broth, and the quality of ingredients remain unparalleled, making each visit as delightful as the last. Moreover, the restaurant maintains an impeccable level of cleanliness. The dining area is always spotless. In conclusion, Pho Hong Long is a gem within Fountain Valleys dining scene. Its a place where traditional flavors and modern culinary techniques coalesce to create a pho thats not just a meal, but an experience. Its no wonder it has become my new favorite pho restaurant. If youre a pho aficionado or just looking for a comforting bowl of goodness, Pho Hong Long is the place to be.
Ph Bnh M & Ch Cali
18122 Brookhurst St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
Quality and service went down but prices went up, I have been coming here for a few years . Poor management, don’t care about their customers, prices are same as other Vietnamese restaurants but quality went down badly. Some of the foods I got here were either under cooked or overcooked. You have to asked them a few times to give you napkins, there many good Vietnamese foods in the area, stay away from this place, don’t worth it anymore!!
Pholicious Restaurant
10585 Slater Ave #4a, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
Pholicious is a very consistent and dependable Vietnamese restaurant specializing in, as the name suggests, Pho. Their rice vermicelli salads and appetizers are just as good though!. You cant go wrong with anything you order here. Service is always friendly and prompt. In terms of atmosphere, the place looks well organized and super clean including the restrooms. Prices have gone up but not irrationally, like in so many other full service restaurants in LA County. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed!

Pickle Banh Mi Co
16086 Harbor Blvd, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
Some of the best Vietnamese banh mi you can get. My girlfriend got the cha lua banh mi, a plain baguette, and the passionfruit tea. I got the crispy pork belly banh mi. My girlfriend loves the bread here. It does have a nice buttery taste, and is always fresh and the right balance of crispy and soft. If you want a more premiere banh mi, with a variety of options, with drive through access, this place is perfect. Many different drink choices, and many different banh mi choices, alongside the typical classic choices you can find at other places. Its conveniently located off of a main street, not too far from the freeway. There is a drive thru. I believe you can delivery from here as well. They also open really early! The downside is I believe they close a bit early (6 PM ?). You can also get smaller bites and appetizers like egg rolls, spring rolls, buns, and other miscellaneous pastries and desserts in various flavors. They offer catering as well if you want their food for parties. I have also seen people order noodle and soup dishes from here. I never personally tried it myself.I would highly recommend anyone who to try it at least once.
Com Tam Tran Quy Cap
16175 Harbor Blvd, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
The food was ok for the price charged, which is a bit expensive in comparison to other Vietnamese restaurants in the area, staff was ruded, the wait is long, 30 mins + for to go, phone order. Unlikely to comeback, I do not recommend this place unless you have nothing to do but wait for your food!
