Panda Express
5752 Lindero Canyon Rd, Westlake Village, CA 91361, United States
Not sure what it is about this location specifically, but the service is always so slow! I just stepped out of line and left due to waiting 5 minutes while 2 single orders were prepped.I would not typically are enough to leave a comment, but for the 4 people in line there were 6 employees throughout the store. 2 were in the kitchen, 1 was doing double duty serving food and working the register, 1 was eating dinner, and 2 were wiping down the soda machine and chatting about their personal lives, clearly prepping to go home. My issue with that was that they were still open for 90 minutes! Will opt to go to the Agoura location from now on. A bit out of the way, but they seem to care about the customers in line.
eLoong Dumplings
30843 Thousand Oaks Blvd, Westlake Village, CA 91362, United States
Cute family-run restaurant! Today is Chinese New Year and my family was saying how nice it would be to have dumplings after church. The menu is simple and the food is authentic - perfect quick stop for some freshly homemade Chinese food.
Lakeview Garden
4703 Lakeview Canyon Rd, Westlake Village, CA 91361, United States
I have been coming here with my family and friends for many years. It is in such a convenient location and they have all your favorite Chinese items on the menu. Its comfortable, and very approachable. I love going for lunch because the lunch special includes a main dish, rice, soup, and a cookie at such a good price. Its great to have such a high quality, reliable Chinese restaurant in the area.
Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors
2761 Agoura Rd, Westlake Village, CA 91361, United States
This has got to be the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten.I ordered the Family Pack for my...wait for it... family (haha) since we were craving Chinese food. The meal deal was 3 entrees, rice, chow mien, dumplings, and fortune cookies to the tune of $65 including tip for the driver. The meal was advertised to feed 4-5 people, well it was not even close to that. If youve been to those hole-in-the-wall restaurants, then you know what I mean when I say I was disappointed with the amount I got. The meal came inside one of those party platter trays and to be honest if I went to Combo A in Echo Park I could have gotten way more and higher quality food for less money. The chow mien tastes like those cheap Instant Yakisoba Noodles you get at the store for $1. Which is not what I want from a restaurant, especially after I paid what I paid for this meal. The teriyaki chicken was dry and over cooked and off course lacking in the teriyaki sauce. The rest of the food was just as subpar but those two were the biggest offenders.I felt compelled to apologize to my Wife and Child for how bad it was. I even told my Wife Id understand if she chose to break it off with me for a day due to this food. Its bad and Pick-Up Stix as an organization should rethink their menu or something because this is an embarrassment to food and the fast-casual restaurant industry as a whole.

My wife and I ate lunch here. I think it was Amir (the owner?) that we ordered from, very personable. He seemed like a nice, genuine person, who cared about the product he provides. My wife got the Curry Chicken Plate, and I got the Chicken Party Wrap. We gave the food taste / quality a 7.5 and 9.0 out of 10. Our food came out in normal time range. (Not long enough that we wondered what the hold up was, or short enough that wed be asking why was that so quick?)Food came out on normal plates with metal utensils, and there was enough food that we felt full & satisfied. The restroom was nice & clean as well.Given the post-COVID and inflation influenced pricing we all see at restaurants these days, the price point was pretty much spot on. My one and only (minor) complaint was that we were already half way through our meal before we became aware that they have kind of a salsa-bar area, just past the right side of the register. It was nice to see they have what I believe was a jalapeno mash type sauce (just minced jalapenos I think), in addition to some other typical tomato type salsas. Will definitely be eating here again.
Westlake Village Inn
31943 Agoura Rd, Westlake Village, CA 91361, United States
If I could give minus 1000 stars I would. Westlake Inn - where luxury guests meet police and harassment! I still cant believe they called a police on the disabled guest while thay had an episode! I was a nightmare! My friend invited me to stay at this hotel for her birthday party. We live in LA but she wanted a small getaway celebrating her big day. All was well, we left our stuff in the room, went to a restaurant and bar, came back to room to celebrate but unfortunately, I realized I forgot my medication that I MUST take early morning (I have a chronic condition) so I decided to go back home at night to make sure I take it on time. Sleeping for 2-3 hours and driving didnt appeal to me as I would be groggy and in pain without my meds. Birthday girl went to sleep in our room. I got in the car and as usual checked my heart rate and it was too fast so I decided to lay down for a bit on the back sit until I feel better so I can sustain a long drive (I cant sit or stand for too long without getting ill). Security pulled in and opened my door. He said I wasnt allowed to sleep in the car. I said I have a room but I need to be home early so I decided to drive now. I have a health condition and I need to rest for about 15 mins and I will go. He asked me what health condition (which is inappropriate since its private medical information) but I shared it anyway and told him I have a disability, now I have a tachicardia episode, I just need to lie down for a bit until my heart rate is calmer and I will go. He kept harassing me plus asking what I have in my car pointing at things which wasnt appropriate too. I said I dont want to wake my friend, its her birthday and she is a light sleeper and she was really looking forward to spending early morning enjoying the pool and if she is asleep now and I wake her she wont be able to fall asleep for a while again and I will feel bad if she doesnt get a good rest on her birthday. I need to go anyway I just need 15 minutes laying down. He wouldnt stop so I drove off but realized my heart rate is still bad and I cant really stop anywhere its the middle of the night and scary to park on the road so I need to go back until I feel ok to drive. Im a guest for Gods sake! Went to sit in the lobby since apparently I cant sit in my car. Asked the receptionist if its ok to sit here and she said ok. Security guard showed up and angrily said You again! Now what?! I said I still have health problem and I need to sit for a bit. A few minutes later police officer showed up and started asking me invasive questions. They will write a report on me and need my personal info. I was petrified! So scared and shocked! Im a guest here, i was followed and harassed multiple times and now police here?! Report?!!! I asked the receptionist to confirm she saw me when we just asked for towels about an hour ago. She said she didnt see me, so I asked to confirm my room number. Yes, she confirmed I indeed have a room! This is outrageous! I asked the receptionist before that if its ok to sit in the lobby and she said it was OK. I wasnt feeling well. No one asked me about my room number! They didnt even bother to confirm my room or what I was telling them about my health and just assumed Im doing what? Sleeping in their lobby like a homeless person while driving a Mercedes wearing expensive evening dress?! Everyone ignored my health reasons and my disability and just kept harassing me instead of helping! This is unacceptable! I followed his guidance and didnt sit in my car but he still called the police without bothering to verify or confirm if Im staying here while I told him I am. Im still shaken and horrified and confused and it all seems like a bad dream! Its the first time I was treated so poorly at a hotel! Forget about care or privacy or great service! If you dont look however they expect you to look or if God forbid you feel sick due to your illness they will call the police on you!P.S. I provided more details and tips + horrible conversation with GM L.Mateo in Noteworthy Details.
Roast & Rice Asian Fusion
30990 Russell Ranch Rd, Westlake Village, CA 91362, United States
One of my favorite places to eat Asian and Asian inspired food. The menu has a bit of everything for almost everyone, sushi, noodles, classic Chinese dishes, and appetizers.Prices are on the high side for Asian food but I always find the food to of great quality, with great service. Im sure that its being located next to a high end seafood restaurant and across the street from the Four Seasons, so its not as high as it could be.

Brents Delicatessen & Restaurant
2799 Townsgate Rd, Westlake Village, CA 91361, United States
I have celiac disease, and I would not recommend eating here if you have this or any food allergies at all. Before eating here, I called Brents to find out how they are about gluten cross-contamination in their kitchens. I was told over the phone that they have a gluten free menu, and was assured that they are very conscious of cross contamination and go to lengths to avoid it. I was happy to hear this, but when we actually ate here they served me food with gluten several times. I ordered a half sandwich and soup. Chicken soup was on the gluten free menu, and I asked the waitress if that was their chicken noodle because I didnt see another soup, and she told me it was. I ordered it but asked if she could double check that it was gluten free. She came with the soup but never asked. So I asked her if she could please tell me what was in the soup. She then went back and asked the chef who told her it was definitely gluten free. I had never seen gluten free noodles that look like this before, so just to double check I asked her if the chef told her what the ingredients are. She told me he didnt know but was sure it was gluten free. She offered to go get the bag and look at the ingredients for me, which I asked her to please do. She came back with a picture on her phone of the ingredients... The first of which was durum wheat flour. NOT gluten free. I sent the soup back and got a salad. Then she had asked me if I wanted my bread toasted on my sandwich and I asked if it was toasted in the same place they toast other bread. She said yes, so I said I would not like it toasted and that it was very important that it was kept separate from all wheat ingredients because I am very sensitive and didnt want to get sick. They brought me my sandwich toasted. She apologized about this and after having the sandwich remade, she told me she spoke to the manager who had told her that the chicken soup without the noodles is gluten free, but the chefs did not know this. Seems a pretty big oversight to me... Especially since I had to ask 3 times to figure this out. I wonder how many other people got sick here because of their carelessness. After mistakes involving such a serious allergy were made I would have expected either the chef or manager to come over and apologize, or reassure me in some way that the food I did receive was actually safe, or perhaps a discount on the bill. None of these things happened.Stay away from this place if you have any food allergies. They dont know what is in their own food and dont take allergies seriously despite their claims.
Pookies
900 Hampshire Rd X, Westlake Village, CA 91361, United States
Save your time and money. Here's what we experienced. #1) Nobody welcomed us after 5-minutes at entry #2) Screaming kids running up and down the outside seating area #3) Waiter was clueless and unaware of the situation and menu #5) Brought the wrong food three times #6) Took a plate of food (we hadn't touched yet, besides mixing it with a fork and nearly taking a bite) when the waiter literally switched plates with adjacent table. #5) No drink refills or offers to purchase 2nd round. #6) Every table (3 tables) around us (with 3-5 people at each table) received food before us despite having been seated 15-minutes after the two of us. #7) POOR QUALITY: IF KRAFT MAC&CHEESE OFFERED PAD THAI THIS WOULD BE IT! Like I said save your time and money. Go to another Thai restaurant or eat Kraft Mac & Cheese (it'll be better I promise). I don't often write reviews, but I had to on this. You've been warned.
