Panera Bread
6865 Camino Arroyo, Gilroy, CA 95020, United States
After Covid the food selection is pared down which includes the pastries. We have been in the Gilroy store quite a few times now, and not a brownie in sight on any of those occasions. I stopped in one morning to take brownies to a meeting and none to be had. Not much of anything else either. Theyve put in an ordering kiosk. Your first contact with a customer seems diminished by a flat screen. It does come in handy though when you want something quick and they are busy. McDonalds does that, just another reason we never go to McDonalds. UpdatePanera has added new meals to their menu! I love the new hot sandwiches Panera has added. They have plenty of protein, snappy new sauces on a fresh roll! One can also try them as part of the Pick 2 meal option! A great way to try them out. This last trip was the Strawberry chicken salad paired with Cr of Wild Rice and chicken soup! Delicious! Love the summer salads! Yes, my partner misses Clam Chowder Fridays but he is finding new favorites in the added offerings too.Oct 2023 update.Happy to write that things have improved at the Gilroy Panera. They have a few new people and they have been well trained and fun to come into contact with. The restaurant is clean and tidy. Tables have been clean every time weve stopped. The beverage counter is never out of stock. There have been more Items in the bakery, but still not back to pre- covid levels. There were brownies, but they no longer are frosted : (. The new style is that 1/2 of the brownie is dusted in powdered sugar. Makes for a much dryer brownie. The Lemon Drop shortbread cookies always seem to be around and they are excellent. The soups salads and newer offerings are delicious and fresh. Employees are doing a great job and are pleasant and friendly. All in all Panera has improved a lot and a trip there for lunch or dinner is an excellent choice.
Eriks DeliCaf
8300 Arroyo Cir #320, Gilroy, CA 95020, United States
Hopefully we came on a bad day/time. WE have eaten at Eriks deli before but not this location. too close to closing 45 minutes before closing? The food was bad. cold soup, soggy sandwitch and we had to request the rest of our order. And wait for them to make 2 other orders before completing our order. 10 min into our meal, the staff turn the music up so loud, we had to ask her to turn it down. Then she started sweeping around us? Who wants that @ their food? It really didnt matter because the food wasnt worth trying to eat it. This is a lunch place? Then close after lunch, dont make customers suffer through bad food and worse customer service. We ate at Eriks on Tuesday, August 1st.

This was our first time eating at this new restaurant. We didnt go when they first opened as others said it was a bit chaotic. As expected. When a new restaurant opens, everything is new to the staff and having guests is their chance to implement their procedures Ive never seen any place that didnt have their share of problems the first two weeks. Tonight the team operated like a cohesive team. The service was excellent, and it we didnt have to wait for anything ...the servers walked the dining room watching the tables. They did an excellent job of anticipating what was needed and they brought it to the table. They were never intrusive. You can dine a la carte or you can pay one price to have a variety of meats served to you at your table and eat as much as you like. It also includes an endless salad bar with an abundance of choices from soup to palm hearts. Make your own salad. Shrimp and salmon, were also available. The salad bar did look a bit dried out when we went thru. Possible put out a bit early. If you tried it when they first opened go back again to a whole new experience.
Pops Public House
1300 1st St, Gilroy, CA 95020, United States
Im going to give it a 4 as weve only been here once. I ordered fish and chips. I felt that the fish and chips could have been cooked a bit longer as it was wet rather than flaky. One thing I dont get is soup, salad, and dinner all arriving at the same time. This has happened twice lately (different restaurants). If this is a new thing, I hate it. Otherwise, service was excellent.
Costco Wholesale
7251 Camino Arroyo, Gilroy, CA 95020, United States
Sept 7, 2023 It is always well stocked, people are friendly, goods and services are top notch. Wonderful organic selection. Plenty of parking. Shelves in all areas except for toilet paper, paper towels, cases of water were low. Worers erre stocking as we picked up our items. The Christmas items were in and I picked up a Bluy house with what I think are all the characters that apoear on the Austrailian top watched cartoon show. He is quite the cannine. Workers are still top notch and are as helpful as ever. We arrived at 4pm and it eas not crowded. We pulled right up to the pumps at the Costco gas station. I noticed the attendant was wiping down all the fill hoses and at the key pad and handle area. A few were wearing masks in the store as lately there is an upswing of Covid. Didnt pick up many items today so we decided against using the self checkout. This was our prior experience with that. .. What a mistake! We are shopping in a warehouse, where every item is mostly double, in other words large. We put our items in the cart with barcodes up to facilitate checkout. No wonder people dont use self checkout, You have to take everything out of the cart, put it in front of the scanner, place it on the counter. After everything was scanned and youve paid you can put it back in the cart. I dont mind doing this at the grocery store as most items dont weigh a lot. Not so at Costco. It is ridiculous to check out this way when a hand scanner can cut your time in half. The Costco attendant had to come over and scan 2 trellises. She was busy helping others so again time spent at the checkout held us and everyone else up. Not having a hand scanner was not a good choice by Costco corporate. If product loss is their reason for no hand scanners, they need a better camera system or AI to do the camera observation. Whatever the outcome, its not worth it to me to use self check. I get my weight lifting at the gym. Today we avoided the self scan and got in line for a live person. At least I think she was alive. . She scanned my card and said thanks and promptly ignored us as a coworker was helping her with scanning the cart items between solving the personal problems of the checkout girl. I hated to leave not knowing how the saga of, then he said, turned out. After all I was emotionally invested in what should have been a matter to be discussed after work or at least in the break room. NOT IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS!!! You want customers to have enjoyed their shopping experience. These two should be separated and out straightening clothes or another job you do by yourself. Back to training, Lesson 1.
Los Costeitos Restaurant
195 Welburn Ave b, Gilroy, CA 95020, United States
If that photo doesn't lead you to believe that you would be entering into such a warm and vibrant atmosphere based off of legitimate Mexican culture, then I do not know what it would take for you. I was lucky enough to get me an immediate booth next to the front door as there was nobody inside on Monday, July 3. I ordered tacos de Burris and they were promptly brought out. Their house salsa with their tortilla chips is definitely a perfect addition to these things. Overall, this place is utterly fantastic. They were all too happy to serve me, the food is absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere feels like home. Add to that that it was warm outside and they had the A/C on, as well as wonderful music playing and you are destined to have yourself a fantastic time here. Oh and plus Victoria beer? Heaven.
Victorias Mexican Restaurant
757 1st St, Gilroy, CA 95020, United States
Overall experience::FOOD WAS AMAZING AND DEVINE AND I WANT TO GO THERE ALL THE TIME. ALSO, EVERYONE IS SO NICE AND HELPFUL THERE AND YALL SHOULD GO THERE IF YOU LIKE MEXICAN FOOD LIKE ME.Details::::When I went in at like 7:40ish I was immediately greeted saying “hello! Welcome to Victoria's!”. This was my first time going there, but my parents went there already. They were about to lock the doors, but they let us stay and eat. I ordered a Quesadilla, my brother ordered the chicken tacos, my dad ordered chille verde and my step mom got enchiladas. Within a few minutes, they took our order. Within another 10 minutes our food arrived steaming hot and really really really really tasty !!! The only thing I wish that there was at this place was longer business hours (aka open until 9 or 10) because then I do not have to worry about the time I get there at. Also, the guy who ownes the place is an Elvis impersonator and he's really kind and funny.

My family and I came over for foods here after an exhausting visit to the Gilroy gardenThe foods here were good and very flavorfulWe ordered Saigon special and pad tai and both dishes were very goodThe soup and sauce were kinda salty but aside from that it was very good and we liked itI would highly recommend this and if you are like me who cannot eat too much sodium, I will still recommend this restaurant so long as you stay away from the sauce or soup if you have kidney problemsOtherwise, this is a great restaurant to go to
Ten Japan Japanese Restaurant
1340 1st St, Gilroy, CA 95020, United States
An izakaya-style Japanese restaurant.I had miso ramen during my lunch visit. The quality of the noodles was a bit soft, which left me feeling a little unsatisfied, but the soup and toppings were delicious. Its a rare pure Japanese shop near Gilroy, so if youre shopping at the outlet and youre having trouble finding a meal, this might be the place to go. I wanted to sit at the counter and have some sushi while talking to the chef.
