Ive lived in Cambria for 25 years and i love this restaurant. Best pizza in town, the small 7 inch is made with 100 year old starter and the size is good for my waste line. My wife who is a vegetarian was very impressed by thier menu. She had plenty of choices. The establishment is run by three ladies that not only cook but also rebuilt the place. I was impressed. I would recommend this restaurant. Its probably not for valley folk with kids trying to get a quick meal. Its more for folks that want to savor food and enjoy each others company. Oh the rolls I had was to die for. Hrs 3 to 12 closed Wednesdays.
Sotos True Earth Market
2244 Main St, Cambria, CA 93428, United States
The market is a fun collection of natural food, local produce and a lot of things youll never find in a big grocery store. But its their eclectic and creative menu of prepared food and deli selections at the back of the store that make this one of my favorite local spots. They make lunch or dinner easy with ready-made or deli-style burritos, salads or wraps. Perfect to take home or on a picnic.Their tofu (chicken) curry salad is so full of flavor that you dont need to be a vegetarian to love it. My husband and I paired it with a noodle salad the last time, and it was a great combo. So far, Ive liked everything on the menu. They have quality ingredients, and you can taste it. I actually prefer it to many of the local restaurants.A selection of local beer and wine, along with an interesting array of ones that you rarely see, give you a chance to try something different.Ive recommended it to several out-of-town guests, and theyve all loved it! Its nice to be able to give them an alternative to a traditional, sit-down restaurant.

This was the highest rated pizza place in Cambria. Ive never been here before but Ive been to Cambria numerous times. I read quite a few reviews about this place, some of which said this is the best pizza on the Central Coast which I beg to differ with. It was a friendly place. There were lots of people there. The service was not particularly fast, but everyone was friendly and accommodating and the pizza was served very hot. I ordered a small pizza with olives, mushrooms, and artichokes. The crust was medium thickness and cooked correctly. But like most commercial pizza crust, just lacks flavor compared to homemade pizza with homemade dough. I dont know. I guess my standards are too high for most restaurant food. By restaurant standards I would say it was an average pizza for an average price
The Hidden Kitchen
2164 Center St, Cambria, CA 93428, United States
Wow! The Hidden Kitchen is absolutely delicious! Not just on the central coast culinary spectrum, but this place could hold it's own in iconic gastronomic destinations from SF to the Big Apple baby! No joke. Wish I had pictures to back up the copy but once the ceramic hit the wood, I didn't look at my phone a single time. When's the last time that happen to you? You're probably scrolling through IG on your iPad as you read this review. I ordered the Morro Melt and the rest was pretty much a dream. I can still taste the fresh blue corn and that beyond heavenly secret sauce. A detonation of goodness. But don't take my word for it. Go get them while they're hot. Probably be the best decision of your life. Also, I highly commend The Hidden Kitchen for doing everything in their power to be environmentally responsible. It's not easy balancing this while having a business, so thank you for setting a good example and inspiring others to join the movement..
The Spot
1235 Knollwood Cir Ste. C-202, Cambria, CA 93428, United States
My husband and I visited The Spot on a cool Monday morning. It was out first day in Cambria and I was happy to find a place with great reviews. Since indoor dinning was still not allowed, they have seating on balcony of the back side of the restaurant. Which was really simple and casual. The balcony overlooked the parking lot of the market in the next lot but the view of all of the trees behind the market was so beautiful. I had the Breakfast Wrap and my husband had the Roasted Pork Wrap. I ordered a fresh juice and we decided to be ambitious and share the Nectarine Crepe. The wraps were so delicious. Well seasoned and perfectly toasted on the outside. We were so full after eating the wraps that we asked to take the crepe togo. Plus the juice started to clear my digestive system a lot faster than I expected ?. We shared the crepe once we made it back to our hotel room. It was still warm. The whipped cream melted but it was still enjoyable. The nectarines were so fresh. You can tell the ingredients where freshly made and cut to order. We plan to make The Spot one of our regular stops when we visit Cambria in the future.
Olallieberry Inn
2476 Main St, Cambria, CA 93428, United States
The Olallieberry Inn in Cambria exceeded our expectations in so many ways: the B & B itself is charming, immaculate, beautifully decorated but not cluttered. Each room is lovely and comfortable with attention to making your stay delightful. There are fireplaces (you flip on with a switch), bed linens that feel like you are sleeping on a cloud, Kerig machines with plenty of pods, and devine bed pillows in every room.Every morning we sat down to a home cooked delicious breakfast complete with fresh squeezed juice and perfectly brewed coffee. Every evening of our stay we were treated to a complimentary wine hour, where we were served quality regional wines with plentiful refills and delicious appetizers. We sipped our wine on their patio seated in comfortable outdoor furniture and a view of their lovely garden.Best of all at the Olallieberry is Alanna, the hostess/owner. She is wonderful to chat with, full of knowledge, curiousity about her customers and wonderful stories to tell. She also is full of information about her central coast location and gave great advice on places to visit and restaurants to dine in. She was also very careful to observe Covid-19 rules, so my group felt safe and secure. It was the perfect place to hold a small watercolor retreat with views everywhere to paint and we were able to stay in all 9 rooms comfortably and be together in common areas and for day outings but had privacy as well.We all cannot wait to return to the Olallieberry Inn!
Brydge Restaurant
4286 Bridge St, Cambria, CA 93428, United States
OUTSTANDING SERVICE ! On Monday my wife and I arrived here for our 12.30pm lunch reservation which I made with a server named Declan the previous day. It was unexpectedly quiet when we walked inside. A friendly server named Jamie welcomed us warmly and let us choose where we wanted to sit....in a nice warm dining room at the front of the cute transformed house. Jamie brought us menus and a filled glass carafe of water with 2 glasses straight off the bat. I asked him if Elaine the owner / chef was in.....no was his reply. Another server named Declan told us on Sunday ( April 28th ) that Elaine was celebrating her birthday that day. Ha ha my wifes birthday was on April 27th. MOVING ON ! I asked Jamie to bring me a Silva Brewing Hazy IPA ( from Paso Robles ) which he took care of promptly. We surveyed the very interesting menu at our corner table. My ice cold hazy IPA tasted very refreshing......a nice tall chilled glass would have been more appropriate. We decided to choose a bunch of small plates starting with Olive Oil Potatoes ( aioli, smoked pimenton with bottarga shaved tableside ), Roasted Mushrooms ( Grana Padano, truffle oil, breadcrumbs ), Grilled Bread & Butters ( grass fed Irish butter, anchovy, pecan ) and Pork Meatballs ( tomato-piquillo sauce, orange oil, Grana Padano ). It was hard to believe we were the only diners in the house....maybe dinner is the big thing ! Every now and then we could hear Jamie chatting with people enquiring at the front entrance. A couple did come in and settled at a table on the back patio. WHOO HOO ! At around 1.15pm Jamie started bringing out our lunch order.....it was all on the table within a couple of minutes. EVERYTHING LOOKED FABULOUS ! We love small plates..plenty of variety. The Olive Oil Potatoes tasted sensational....as good as it gets. We happily devoured the Roasted Mushrooms, Pork Meatballs with the scrumptious flat bread and crazy good butters. In fact we had to ask Jamie for more flatbread ( we paid for another serve of Grilled Bread & Butters ). DESSERT ! Not a huge choice but enough to satisfy. The Dark Chocolate Pudding sounded good once Jamie had explained it was not really a pudding. I asked about the Pistachio Gelato ( it would have been nice with the pudding ) but Jamie said they were out...a problem with the supplier. So we went with the Dark Chocolate Pudding ( flake salt ) which came out in a cute little bowl atop a plate. It tasted very rich and comforting...I would compare it to an Italian Budino which is very popular in many restaurants. We totally enjoyed our lunch experience here...thank you Jamie and the talented kitchen staff. If we hadnt been leaving for Santa Barbara the next morning we would have been keen to come back for dinner. A REAL WINNER !
Bonis Tacos
2253 Main St, Cambria, CA 93428, United States
One of me and my wife's favorite tacos spot. We live 3 1/2 hours away but when we go to Cambria, CA that's where we always try and go. Try because sometimes we get there to late. Check their hours. Always fresh tacos. There al pastor with pineapple is our favorite. They have a (Trompo) vertical rotating spit. Sometimes there is a wait but they get to you fast. The wait for your food is usually under 15 mins. This is on weekends when I feel they are the busiest. Even my son likes their tortillas. It is a destination. It is small place where they make the food but it is delicious. They have a few tables to outside to eat.
The Rigdon House
4022 Burton Dr, Cambria, CA 93428, United States
MUST READ!!My wife and I flew to San Diego on Oct 10th to stay until the 14th, where we were going to drive up to San Francisco and the wine country. The Rigdon House was going to be a stopping point for us during our drive up. First off, I am sadden by the wildfires and the loss of life and property in Northern California. I hope they can be contained soon and no further loss of life or property happens. We were forced to change our travel plans because of them, which is nothing compared to what the residents are experiencing or the crews fighting the fires. We called the Rigdon House to let them know that our travel plans had been affected by the fires and that our one night stay with them would not be possible since we were not going to travel to San Francisco or beyond. We contacted them on the 13th, the same day that ABC World News with David Murr confirmed that only 25% of the fires were contained, San Francisco was in heavy smoke and the air quality was comparable with the worst in the world in China, and that flights were being delayed and cancelled out of the airport. We are nearly 6 hours from the Ridgon House and now have to figure out how to change our plans to fly back home to North Carolina. Rigdon House didnt care.I called to learn they have a 5 day cancellation policy. Emily, the receptionist, said that natural disasters happen all the time and they cant cancel for me because they would have to cancel for everyone else affected by natural disaster when they travel. At least Emily was polite when making ignorant remarks. She offered to pass our information along to the owner, but instead I got a call from Aaron who is the manager. Aaron stated that it was against their policy to refund any money paid if the cancellation occurs within 5 days, but we had paid with Expedia and they had our money. Aaron went on the say that he had no control over our money and that it was up to Expedia to refund it. Guess what happened when we called Expedia!!!! They had to call the Rigdon Inn for cancellation authorization for the money to be refund, which they denied. There is no way that we could have complied with their cancellation policy anyway being that the fires started 6 days ago on Saturday. The fires began to get worse on Monday and Tuesday of this week. Emily or Aaron didnt care.Expedia had to practice customer service on behalf of this company at the Rigdon House by giving us a coupon to use later. The Rigdon House clearly has a policy that is a failure. This is a clear example of a greedy, dollar driven business that is more concerned with making money than doing the right thing, policy or not. There are policy failures in business and government, where policy does not always address the needs at hand. I would not recommend staying at this place unless you want to be stripped of your hard earn dollars unfairly. The least this business could do is to take the 171 dollars and donate it to the families affected by the fires in Northern California.
Bonis Tacos
2405 Village Ln F, Cambria, CA 93428, United States
We miss the original Boni. His son, Cesar, has a lot to learn about catering weddings. We went with local, small businesses only for our wedding. Others were significantly more professional than this emotional kid was. Specifically Dante & Patricia at Carlocks in Los Osos, were BEYOND EXCELLENT. Modern Symphony (Steve) was our DJ & absolutely phenomenal. Cesar at Boni's was not. Lots of excuses and blame on us. Mallarkey. Go with a different company.I sent this message to Cesar after my husband spoke with him: “I asked my husband to speak with you today since he is more tactful than I. However he let me know your response and I'm absolutely dissatisfied with the service we received from your establishment and more disappointed you gave him a list of excuses with no apologies for the following; which will be in my review:Essentially, my issues are these:- Late arrival on day of event- You say everyone grabbed stuff, my family says you didn't have control of situation- No dressing for salad despite requests, alleged that it was dropped off. Nothing was labeled. What was salsa? Dressing?- Chicken enchiladas had no sauce (just chicken inside tortilla? Very dry)- Chicken enchiladas were marked “cheese” and cheese enchiladas were marked “chicken” which was upsetting to our guests who are vegetarians- Unclear communication (e.g. no record of our deposit, whether we drop off chaffing dishes, and whether they should be cleaned)- Kirkland brand chips? We could have purchased that for significantly less than you charged.$1,800 is not the level of service we got.”Here's the message we got from Cesar in return: ”Hi guys, I'm very sorry that you guys weren't satisfied with our service.I apologize for arriving about 15 minutes late and for the lack of communication.I am 100% sure I included dressing for the salad. The woman who was helping set up had a copy of the invoice and we went over every single item to confirm it was there, and it was, she even wanted to place it in an ice bowl.I also gave you guys a VERY fair warning that our enchiladas do not hold well for travel, however you guys insisted that you wanted them. I uncovered each tray of enchiladas to add the toppings (lettuce, s/c, cheese). I saw one of your helpers put the covers back on as I was leaving, apparently in the wrong order, again that is something that I have no control overWe have also always used Kirkland brand chips. Since Mark said he used to eat at Boni's almost everyday when working in Cambria, I assumed he knew what chips we used. We have never made our own chips and have never claimed to. Also, we don't charge for the chips, we charge for the guacamole. We are a very small family business, run by 6 people in total. We try our absolute hardest to ensure that every event we cater goes as smoothly as possible, and that our clients are happy. However there is only so much that is under our control. Everything you ordered was delivered. If you guys still feel that writing a bad review will correct the situation, well there's not much I can do.Best to you both.”
