sweetgreen
581 Ramona St, Palo Alto, CA 94301, United States
As always, delicious, fresh, natural food! Many vegan and vegetarian options. The architecture of this Sweetgreen is one of the cutest I have ever been and I love the quiet surroundings. There is public free parking in front of the restaurant and a juice store just around the corner (need to try it out, but it seems like the perfect lunch combination). Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. But, as other people mentioned, did not understand the employees attitude. They are not rude, but very apathetic for a Sweetgreen where one usually finds a lot of friendly faces. But this is just a minor downside, especially when the interaction with employees is just for 1 minute as you build your bowl. I will definitely come back!
Taco Bell
1925 Main St Suite A, Ramona, CA 92065, United States
They changed the dollar menu I liked a lot. they didnt just raise the price but got rid of all 4 of the things I would order. the feedback I just replaced said that they had a good dollar menu and was open til at least 10. half of that is still true but I havent been back since because I dont know what to order or if they even have anything I will eat. the guy that helped me did a great job with me and my order. he did a good job explaining the changes and made me tostadas still which made me happy and that was cool since I was frustrated and on break and hungry without time to go elsewhere. I gave 2 stars 1 for being open and til late. and one for that guy that helped me. he also took care of me another time and went out of his way to feed me despite being out of beef and most stuff and only open for 5 min longer he made me a steak tostada and frito burrito with steak and both of those were awesome and I would definitely order those if I could. not only can I not I cant even get the beef ones. the steak ones were really good and when I was a kid I swear I remember a tostada that had beef and beans that would be great also. I dont like slimy sauces or white sauces or vegetables and the menu now breaks my heart and belly. I will be looking for a commercial letting me know they have something I will eat and for not too much. I ate there 3 or 4 times a week and have not been back since your menu changes
Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a damn franchise people! Obviously taco Bell taste good and hits the spot. Always! LOL well you have to realize win writing a review to the franchise company, is to keep in mind we all know it tastes good or we would not be going there in the first place. What matters is the service turn the people in which room work there. And this location of taco Bell in San jacinto California off of State Street has absolutely horrible service. I have lived in the area half of my life and because of it being the closest we always force ourselves to go there when we want taco Bell and it never fails! Something always goes wrong and with being said they are rude at that. I just ordered some breakfast for my family brought at home 10 minutes away and realize my order was wrong. I brought it back so my order can be corrected, I went through the drive-thru and they demanded for me to go inside. I told him Im not there to convenience them but only myself especially considering they got my order incorrect. I was literally there 5 minutes trying to explain what was wrong when it was very simple, I did not order these burritos I ordered a different kind and told them what kind. my grande meal was supposed to have five soft tacos not five hard tacos. Very simple! After about 6 minutes Ive talking with them and finally getting through to their heads, she refunded me the extra money I paid and began to correct my order. After about 5 minutes of waiting jazz music I can pull to the front, I told her no they already got my order wrong Im staying in the Drive-Thru until my order is put in my hands so I can make sure its correct. Obviously they have a drive-thru for a reason dont they? I never pull forward when restaurants asked me to otherwise I would not be using their drive-thru service in the first place. I literally had to sit there and wait 17 minutes before they finally brought me 5 soft tacos into simple $1 breakfast burritos on their value menu. Not only should I have not have had to wait 17 minutes but she basically tossed the bag to me and said sorry for the wait very rudely as if it was purposely intended to happen. F*** this taco Bell

I love this place. Since I’m a vegetarian it can be challenging to find tasty, low karma, clean healthy food in Ramona. This restaurant has fresh vegetarian spring rolls with tofu. Yum. No hidden fish sauce or other bad stuff. My favorite person, Tam, is always happy to see me and always remembers my favorite sauces, and needed napkins. Thanks for giving me a place to go to lunch during the work week. Clean inside and always friendly. See my other vegetarian reviews on yelp under Kellie B.
Ramona Noodle House

This review may be a little biased. First time weve eaten here. Our order included pork curry, phó, garlic and chili beef bowl, garlic edamame and shrimp tempura. We also used Orange Crate for delivery service. Excellent service. Why am I biased, well we have eaten food in a lot of Asian countries. The pork curry (or Tonkatsu) had a good curry flavor. However, the pork was tough and not very good overall. Garlic edamame was just excellent. Love the flavor and who doesnt like some garlic in California? The Tempura shrimp was just a type of thick battered fried shrimp. Tempura should be light and flakey for the batter. Still, the shrimp wasnt bad.One I liked the most was stir-fry garlic and chili beef. By far the best item on our order. We would definitely order that again. The Phó was also a good surprise. We ordered it for a family member that has been feeling ill. Said was just what they needed and they could finally eat something for a change. There were some fresh herbs for the Phó too.My recommendation to the restaurant is to find a different supplier for their pork. If this was done right, I could give a much higher rating. Would we go here again? Probably, but not anytime soon. What I always look for in a restaurant is quality over quantity. Then price compared to the quality. For these reasons, we give Ramona Noodle House a fair rating with 3 stars. We hope that everyone has a chance to explore Ramona and the variety of cultures our small community has great pleasure of giving everyone.
Pinto Thai Ramona
2330 Main St, Ramona, CA 92065, United States
I went here with a friend based on their choice. I have never been before. I had an appetizer based on their recommendation, which was some sort of shrimp wrap with peanut sauce, and I would agree that it was okay. It was a cold appetizer and decent, but it wasnt a WOW experience. As far as the service goes I will start out by saying that I realize this may be a culture thing, but when I go to a restaurant i go with the intention to enjoy my food as well as the person I am with and I didnt appreciate the server reaching in front of my food while eating to remove dishes off the table from my friends almost finished meal, without asking first if they were done or if they could take anything away. It left me feeling as if my patronage wasnt appreciated, and I was being rushed out the door.We definitely didnt stay for dessert if they even offered any there. The atmosphere was okay. But it was the person I was with that made it better, not the establishment.Overall, I would say that this might be more of a take out vs. a come and dine with us experience. Its definitely not a place to go to sit, be social, and dine. But if you are in a rush to get out, eat something real fast, and then be on your way, well then, this may very well be the place for you.
Marinade on Main
865 Main St, Ramona, CA 92065, United States
4.5 stars. Taking away 0.5 stars for the parking/wait. Ok so maybe this may be my post-hike palate talking but this place has DELICIOUS food!! We got here around 11:30 am and it was pretty busy too!!The servers were very nice and friendly. Our group was quite loud so I do apologize about that. We got a bunch of things - mimosa flights, the apple spice mule, the butter flight, the veggie scramble, the pork skillet, the avocado toast, the baked cinnamon French toast, and the grilled cheese sandwich with tomato bisque. EVERYTHING was amazing!! Very fresh, well-seasoned and perfectly cooked! Personally, my grilled cheese wasnt just a regular grilled cheese but a caprese grilled cheese. I wont be able to go back to the regular grilled cheese now! The tomato bisque was perfect in consistency, not too tomatoey and the kind of warm that seeps through your soul. My friends avocado toast was the other favorite at the table - perfectly smashed avocado on brown grain bread with an egg on top. YUM!!The butter flight is truly a flight that soars. The bread is soft and crumbly, a little sweet and little savory. It comes with 3 butters made at the restaurant - I tried the coffee and the berry butters and they are delicious! The berry one just tastes like berry ice cream :)The mimosa flights deserve their own paragraph. There were 4 mimosas and a good amount in all 4 glasses - the original, lemon, pomegranate, and the cider. All of them were delicious and pretty strong but my order of favorites from most to least is: cider, original, pomegranate, lemon. I love lemon drinks but this one didnt have much lemon in it. So I had to put it last on the list. This is a fantastic place. The ambiance is gorgeous too. I highly recommend coming here if you are in Ramona.
POKE OKA
1925 Main St Suite 2, Ramona, CA 92065, United States
Incr-Edible! Such a delightful surprise tucked away here in Ramona! I have had poke and sushi in some of the finest venues in the world and this ranks, without a doubt, right up there with best of them. Poke Oka has some of the freshest ingredients, finest varieties and their attention to detail in preparation is amazing for such a small venue. Modest seating, but comfy and cozy like a familys dining kitchenette. Adorable. We each got a bowl, thinking small (two proteins for me, one for my partner) and by far the star of the bowl was the tender eel. Perfectly prepared, with exquisite taste and texture. The spicy crab also excellent, the ahi was superb and the edamame shelled and chilled to exactly the right temperature for service in a salad. The sauces were excellent and even the toppings still had the perfect crunch. I struggle to find anything to improve on, but as a critic the only thing I would ask a reflection on is the Thai ice tea; could use a little more robust flavor and let your patrons mix the layers. Other than that minor head tilt, 100% recommend! Poke Oka (and I love the Spain family history on the wall at the entrance) you really have something here to be proud of and worthy of review. Cheers and best of luck! See you again soon!
La Cocina
681 Main St, Ramona, CA 92065, United States
No stars unless Im forced. Driving back from Santa Ysabel tonight and decided to try La Cocina because from the outside its nice looking old historic building on the corner of Main Street and it appeared from outside to be upscale.Upon entering you need to go to the counter and order and then take your seat. Maybe I should have realized this wasnt a quality place. Served a plate of chips and salsas, that are so so. Then our waitress brings us our order and a plastic fork & knife wrapped in a napkin. I politely asked for real silverware but was told they dont use it. My order was the number 5, two beef enchiladas, rice and beans. The refritos (re-fried) pintos, looked like theyre from Albino Pintos. The color was grey/white. They were diluted with so much water and no seasoning that Im thinking they must have come up with powdered dried instant Pinto Bean mix. The sauce, enchiladas, rice were all blah. I didnt notice any seasoning or culinary effort at all. The Carne Asada Burrito was serfed to us with the ingredients cold inside. Bhah! When I asked the waitress initially if we could have more salsa, she gave us the evil eye and said we dont have any other. No I explained I mean may we have more. I then had the audacity to ask her about the way the beans were made and she looked like her head was going to start spinning. She cast us the most hostile look and said with attitude Thats the way the beans are made. I asked to speak to the manager and if the other more mature Hispanic lady was the manager or owner. The waitress, who Id judge to be in her 20s, so if she reads this shell know who Im referring to just came back with attitude and obstruction. I said to her, Im just trying to find out if the other lady who was helping us is the manger, I dont need any attitude. She said, I dont have any attitude, You want attitude I can give you attitude. If it wasnt so ridiculous I would have laughed in her face. I think she was trying out for a part in a b movie and she thought her role was playing the tough local girl trying to give the new girl in town grief. I mean my God shes a waitress serving customers not a thug in a bar dealing with a homie and having a cat fight. I am not making this up, she was seriously rude. After the nice but sorely uniformed manger told us weve been here for 30 million years and nobody has ever complained about the beans, (apparently they dont read their reviews) and at least graciously offered us our money back I thought yes I cant eat this took the refund and left our meals. We went down the street and into Mananas and had a reasonably decent Chipolte chicken burrito on whole wheat tortilla and drove back to Poway. Except for the stop at La Cocina it was a beautiful day.Side note: In both restaurants I observed people who clearly were high on or coming down from speed or meth. Ramona clearly had a big problem with people who are wasted on speed, some with children so very very unfortunate.
Kountry Kitchen
826 Main St, Ramona, CA 92065, United States
This is a cozy and casual diner with great food and even greater service! Our group of 8 rolled in on a Sat. afternoon after a day of paintball and we were seated right away. Folks in our group were from San Diego, Manhattan NY, LA, Dallas... and it would be fair to say everyone had extensive experience with good food. So its a big deal when every dish ordered was rated thumbs up delicious! And to think we almost missed this place! Originally, we were going to go to Marinade On Main across the street...the fancy/pretentious farm to table place. The line was out the door and when we asked if there was a wait list we were told there is no list and no estimated time...when a table becomes available someone will come out and call the next in line. Well screw that! Were going across the street to Kountry Kitchen and so glad we did!As I said, our group was seated right away at Kountry Kitchen and our waitress Shannon was so sweet and attentive! She took care of our group and every need was handled quickly. Shannon checked in on us regularly and was pleasant the entire time. I had the fish and chips and asked if they had any cocktail sauce. I was told they did not have any, but the cook will make it fresh for me since they had the ingredients on hand. We were impressed by that level of service and further impressed when the cocktail sauce turned out awesome! All the dishes came out quickly and everything tasted great...weve got some picky critics in our group and everyone left happy! So if you find yourself in the Ramona area you really should dine at Kountry Kitchen for good food and great service...I know well be back!
